| 2 | 應當在 淨光的 山 豎立 大旗，向群眾 揚 聲 招 手，使他們進入 貴冑 的門。 | Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles. |
| 3 | 我 吩咐 我所挑出來的人； 我招呼 我的勇士─就是那矜誇 高傲之輩，為要成就我怒中所定的。 | I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness. |
| 4 | 山間 有多 人的聲音，好像 是大 國人民。有許多國 的民 聚集 鬨嚷的 聲音；這是萬軍 之耶和華 點齊 軍隊，預備打仗。 | The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts mustereth the host of the battle. |
| 5 | 他們從遠 方 來，從天 邊來，就是耶和華 並他惱恨的 兵器 要毀滅 這全 地。 | They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the Lord, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land. |
| 6 | 你們要哀號，因為 耶和華 的日子 臨近了！這日來到，好像毀滅 從全能者來到。 | Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. |
| 7 | 所以，人手 都 必軟弱；人 心 都 必消化。 | Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt: |
| 8 | 他們必驚惶 悲痛；愁苦 必將他們抓住。他們疼痛，好像產難的婦人一樣，彼此 驚奇相看，臉如 火焰。 | And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. |
| 9 | 耶和華 的日子 臨到，必有殘忍、忿恨、烈怒，使 這地 荒涼，從其中 除滅 罪人。 | Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. |
| 10 | 天上 的眾星 群宿 都不 發 光；日頭 一出 就變黑暗；月亮 也不 放 光。 | For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. |
| 11 | 我必因邪惡 刑罰 世界，因罪孽刑罰 惡人，使驕傲人 的狂妄 止息，制伏 強暴人 的狂傲。 | And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. |
| 12 | 我必使人 比精金 還少，使人 比俄斐 純金更少。 | I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. |
| 13 | 我─萬軍 之耶和華 在忿恨中 發烈 怒 的日子，必使天 震動，使地 搖撼，離其本位。 | Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger. |
| 14 | 人必 像被追趕 的鹿，像無人 收聚 的羊，各 歸 回 本族，各 逃 到 本土。 | And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land. |
| 15 | 凡 被仇敵追上的 必被刺死；凡 被捉住的 必被刀 殺。 | Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. |
| 16 | 他們的嬰孩 必在他們眼前 摔碎；他們的房屋 必被搶奪；他們的妻子 必被玷污。 | Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. |
| 17 | 我 必激動 米底亞人 來攻擊他們。米底亞人 不 注重 銀子，也不 喜愛 金子。 | Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it. |
| 18 | 他們必用弓 擊碎 少年人，不 憐憫 婦人所生的，眼 也不 顧惜 孩子。 | Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children. |
| 19 | 巴比倫 素來為 列國 的榮耀，為迦勒底人 所矜誇的 華美，必像 神 所傾覆的 所多瑪、 蛾摩拉一樣。 | And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. |
| 20 | 其內必永 無 人煙，世世 代代 無人 居住。阿拉伯人 也不 在那裡 支搭帳棚；牧羊的人 也不 使羊群臥在 那裡。 | It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there. |
| 21 | 只有曠野的走獸 臥 在那裡；咆哮的獸 滿了 房屋。鴕鳥 住 在那裡；野山羊 在那裡 跳舞。 | But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there. |
