| 1 | 以利戶 又說： | Elihu spake moreover, and said, |
| 2 | 你以為 有理，或以為 你的公義勝於 神的公義， | Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s? |
| 3 | 才 說 這與我 有甚麼 益處？我不犯罪 比犯罪有甚麼 好處呢？ | For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin? |
| 4 | 我 要回 答 你和 在你 這裡的朋友。 | I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee. |
| 5 | 你要向天 觀看，瞻 望 那高 於你 的穹蒼。 | Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou. |
| 6 | 你若 犯罪，能使 神 受何害呢？你的過犯 加增，能使 神 受何損呢？ | If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him? |
| 7 | 你若 是公義，還能加增 他 甚麼呢？ 他從你手裡 還接受 甚麼呢？ | If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand? |
| 8 | 你的過惡 或能害你這類 的人；你的公義 或能叫世人得益處。 | Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man. |
| 9 | 人因多 受欺壓 就哀求，因受能者的轄制（原文是膀臂）便求救， | By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty. |
| 10 | 卻無人 說：造我的 神 在哪裡？他使 人夜間 歌唱， | But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night; |
| 11 | 教訓我們 勝於地上 的走獸，使我們有聰明 勝於空中的 飛鳥。 | Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven? |
| 12 | 他們在那裡，因 惡人 的驕傲 呼求，卻無人 答應。 | There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men. |
| 13 | 虛妄的呼求， 神 必 不 垂聽；全能者 也必不 眷顧。 | Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it. |
| 14 | 何況 你說，你不 得見他；你的案件 在他面前，你等候 他吧。 | Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him. |
| 15 | 但如今 因 他未 曾發怒 降罰，也不 甚 理會 狂傲， | But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity: |
| 16 | 所以約伯 開 口 說虛妄的話，多發 無 知識 的言語。 | Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge. |
