| 1 | 耶和華 的話 臨 到 耶利米。那時，西底家 王 打發 瑪基雅 的兒子 巴施戶珥 和 瑪西雅 的兒子 祭司 西番雅 去見耶利米，說： | The word which came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying, |
| 2 | 「請你 為我們 求問 耶和華；因為 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 來攻擊 我們，或者 耶和華 照他一切 奇妙的作為 待 我們，使巴比倫王離開我們 上去。」 | Enquire, I pray thee, of the Lord for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the Lord will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us. |
| 3 | 耶利米 對他們 說：「你們當對 西底家 這樣 說： | Then said Jeremiah unto them, Thus shall ye say to Zedekiah: |
| 4 | 『耶和華─以色列的 神 如此 說： 我要使 你們手中 的兵 器，就是 你們 在城 外 與 巴比倫 王 和 圍困 你們 的迦勒底人 打仗 的兵器 翻轉過來，又要使這些 都聚集 在 這 城 中。 | Thus saith the Lord God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city. |
| 5 | 並且我 要在怒氣、忿怒，和大 惱恨中，用伸出來 的手，並大能 的膀臂，親自攻擊 你們； | And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath. |
| 6 | 又要擊打 這 城 的居民，連 人 帶 牲畜 都必遭遇大 瘟疫 死亡。 | And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence. |
| 7 | 以後 我要將 猶大 王 西底家 和 他的臣僕 百姓，就是在城內，從 瘟疫、 刀劍、 饑荒中 剩下的人，都交 在巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 的手中 和他們仇敵，並尋索 其命 的人手中。巴比倫王必用 刀 擊殺他們，不 顧惜，不 可憐，不 憐憫。這是耶和華 說的。』 | And afterward, saith the Lord, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy. |
| 8 | 「你要對 這 百姓 說：『耶和華 如此 說：看哪，我將 生命 的路 和 死亡 的路 擺 在你們面前。 | And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death. |
| 9 | 住 在這 城裡 的必遭刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫 而死；但出去 歸降 圍困 你們 迦勒底人 的必得存活，要以自己的命 為 掠物。 | He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey. |
| 10 | 耶和華 說： 我向這 城 變 臉，降禍 不 降福；這城必交 在巴比倫 王 的手中，他必用火 焚燒。』」 | For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the Lord: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. |
| 11 | 「至於猶大 王 的家，你們當聽 耶和華 的話。 | And touching the house of the king of Judah, say, Hear ye the word of the Lord; |
| 12 | 大衛 家啊，耶和華 如此 說：你們每早晨 要施行 公平，拯救 被搶奪 的脫離欺壓 人的手，恐怕 我的忿怒 因 你們的惡 行 發作，如火 著起，甚至無人 能以熄滅。 | O house of David, thus saith the Lord; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. |
| 13 | 耶和華 說：住山谷 和平原 磐石 上的居民，你們說：誰 能下來 攻擊我們？誰 能進 入我們的住處呢？看哪，我 與你們為敵。 | Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the Lord; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations? |
| 14 | 耶和華 又說：我必按你們做事 的結果 刑罰 你們；我也必使火 在耶路撒冷的林中 著起，將她四圍 所有的 盡行燒滅。」 | But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the Lord: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. |
