| 1 | 基列 寄居的 提斯比人 以利亞 對 亞哈 說：「我指著所 事奉 永生 耶和華─以色列的 神起誓，這 幾年 我若不 禱告，必不 降露，不下雨。」 | And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. |

| 3 | 「你離開 這裡 往 東去，藏 在 約旦河 東邊 的 基立 溪旁。 | Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. |
| 4 | 你要 喝 那溪裡的水，我已吩咐 烏鴉 在那裡 供養你。」 | And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. |
| 5 | 於是以利亞 照著耶和華 的話，去 住 在 約旦河 東 的 基立 溪旁。 | So he went and did according unto the word of the Lord: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. |
| 6 | 烏鴉 早 晚 給他 叼餅 和肉 來，他也 喝 那溪裡的水。 | And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. |
| 7 | 過了 些日子，溪水 就乾了，因為 雨 沒 有 下在地上。 | And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land. |
| 8 | 耶和華 的話 臨 到他 說： | And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, |
| 9 | 「你起身 往西頓 的 撒勒法去，住 在那裡； 我已吩咐 那裡 的一個寡 婦 供養你。」 | Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. |
| 10 | 以利亞就起身 往撒勒法 去。到了 城 門，見 有一個寡婦 在那裡 撿 柴，以利亞呼叫 她 說：「求 你用器皿 取 點 水 來給我 喝。」 | So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink. |
| 11 | 她去 取水的時候，以利亞又呼叫 她 說：「也求你 拿 點 餅 來給我！」 | And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand. |
| 12 | 她說：「我指著永生 耶和華─你的 神起誓，我 沒有 餅，罈 內只有 一把 麵，瓶 裡只有一點 油；我現在 找 兩根 柴，回 家要為我 和我兒子 做餅；我們吃了，死就死吧！」 | And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die. |
| 13 | 以利亞 對她 說：「不要 懼怕！可以照你所說的 去 做吧！只要 先 為我 做 一個小 餅 拿來 給我，然後 為你 和你的兒子 做餅。 | And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. |
| 14 | 因為 耶和華─以色列的 神 如此 說：罈 內的麵 必不 減少，瓶 裡的油 必不 缺短，直到 耶和華 使雨 降 在 地 上 的日子。」 | For thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth. |

| 18 | 婦人對 以利亞 說：「神 人哪，我 與你 何干？你竟到我 這裡來，使 神想念 我的罪，以致 我的兒子 死呢？」 | And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son? |
| 19 | 以利亞對她 說：「把 你兒子 交 給我。」以利亞就從婦人懷中 將孩子接過來，抱 到 他 所 住 的樓中，放 在 自己的床上， | And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed. |
| 20 | 就求告 耶和華 說：「耶和華─我的 神啊，我 寄居 在 這 寡婦的家裡，你就 降禍 與她，使 她的兒子 死了嗎？」 | And he cried unto the Lord, and said, O Lord my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son? |
| 21 | 以利亞三 次 伏 在 孩子的身上，求告 耶和華 說：「耶和華─我的 神啊，求 你使這 孩子 的靈魂 仍入 他的身體！」 | And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the Lord, and said, O Lord my God, I pray thee, let this child’s soul come into him again. |
| 22 | 耶和華 應允 以利亞 的話，孩子 的靈魂 仍入 他的身體，他就活了。 | And the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived. |
| 23 | 以利亞 將 孩子 從 樓上 抱 下來，進屋子 交 給他母親， 說：「看哪，你的兒子 活了！」 | And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth. |
| 24 | 婦人 對 以利亞 說：「現在 我知道 你 是神 人，耶和華 藉你口 所說的話 是真的。」 | And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in thy mouth is truth. |
