절	Union Traditional	King James Version
1	亞瑪謝登基的時候年二十五歲，在耶路撒冷作王二十九年。他母親名叫約耶但，是耶路撒冷人。	Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.
2	亞瑪謝行耶和華眼中看為正的事，只是心不專誠。	And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a perfect heart.
3	國一堅定，就把殺他父王的臣僕殺了，	Now it came to pass, when the kingdom was established to him, that he slew his servants that had killed the king his father.
4	卻沒有治死他們的兒子，是照摩西律法書上耶和華所吩咐的說：「不可因子殺父，也不可因父殺子，各人要為本身的罪而死。」	But he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the Lord commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.
5	亞瑪謝招聚猶大人，按著猶大和便雅憫的宗族設立千夫長、百夫長，又數點人數，從二十歲以外，能拿槍拿盾牌出去打仗的精兵共有三十萬；	Moreover Amaziah gathered Judah together, and made them captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, according to the houses of their fathers, throughout all Judah and Benjamin: and he numbered them from twenty years old and above, and found them three hundred thousand choice men, able to go forth to war, that could handle spear and shield.
6	又用銀子一百他連得，從以色列招募了十萬大能的勇士。	He hired also an hundred thousand mighty men of valour out of Israel for an hundred talents of silver.
7	有一個神人來見亞瑪謝，對他說：「王啊，不要使以色列的軍兵與你同去，因為耶和華不與以色列人以法蓮的後裔同在。	But there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with thee; for the Lord is not with Israel, to wit, with all the children of Ephraim.
8	你若一定要去，就奮勇爭戰吧！但神必使你敗在敵人面前；因為神能助人得勝，也能使人傾敗。」	But if thou wilt go, do it, be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down.
9	亞瑪謝問神人說：「我給了以色列軍的那一百他連得銀子怎麼樣呢？」神人回答說：「耶和華能把更多的賜給你。」	And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall we do for the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God answered, The Lord is able to give thee much more than this.
10	於是亞瑪謝將那從以法蓮來的軍兵分別出來，叫他們回家去。故此，他們甚惱怒猶大人，氣忿忿地回家去了。	Then Amaziah separated them, to wit, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their anger was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great anger.
11	亞瑪謝壯起膽來，率領他的民到鹽谷，殺了西珥人一萬。	And Amaziah strengthened himself, and led forth his people, and went to the valley of salt, and smote of the children of Seir ten thousand.
12	猶大人又生擒了一萬帶到山崖上，從那裡把他們扔下去，以致他們都摔碎了。	And other ten thousand left alive did the children of Judah carry away captive, and brought them unto the top of the rock, and cast them down from the top of the rock, that they all were broken in pieces.
13	但亞瑪謝所打發回去、不許一同出征的那些軍兵攻打猶大各城，從撒馬利亞直到伯．和崙，殺了三千人，搶了許多財物。	But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from Samaria even unto Beth–horon, and smote three thousand of them, and took much spoil.
14	亞瑪謝殺了以東人回來，就把西珥的神像帶回，立為自己的神，在它面前叩拜燒香。	Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.
15	因此，耶和華的怒氣向亞瑪謝發作，就差一個先知去見他，說：「這些神不能救它的民脫離你的手，你為何尋求它呢？」	Wherefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand?
16	先知與王說話的時候，王對他說：「誰立你作王的謀士呢？你住口吧！為何找打呢？」先知就止住了，又說：「你行這事，不聽從我的勸戒，我知道神定意要滅你。」	And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king’s counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.
17	猶大王亞瑪謝與群臣商議，就差遣使者去見耶戶的孫子、約哈斯的兒子、以色列王約阿施，說：「你來，我們二人相見於戰場。」	Then Amaziah king of Judah took advice, and sent to Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us see one another in the face.
18	以色列王約阿施差遣使者去見猶大王亞瑪謝，說：「黎巴嫩的蒺藜差遣使者去見黎巴嫩的香柏樹，說：『將你的女兒給我兒子為妻。』後來黎巴嫩有一個野獸經過，把蒺藜踐踏了。	And Joash king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.
19	你說：『看哪，我打敗了以東人』，你就心高氣傲，以致矜誇。你在家裡安居就罷了，為何要惹禍使自己和猶大國一同敗亡呢？」	Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?
20	亞瑪謝卻不肯聽從。這是出乎神，好將他們交在敵人手裡，因為他們尋求以東的神。	But Amaziah would not hear; for it came of God, that he might deliver them into the hand of their enemies, because they sought after the gods of Edom.
21	於是以色列王約阿施上來，在猶大的伯‧示麥與猶大王亞瑪謝相見於戰場。	So Joash the king of Israel went up; and they saw one another in the face, both he and Amaziah king of Judah, at Beth–shemesh, which belongeth to Judah.
22	猶大人敗在以色列人面前，各自逃回家裡去了。	And Judah was put to the worse before Israel, and they fled every man to his tent.
23	以色列王約阿施在伯‧示麥擒住約哈斯（就是亞哈謝）的孫子、約阿施的兒子、猶大王亞瑪謝，將他帶到耶路撒冷，又拆毀耶路撒冷的城牆，從以法蓮門直到角門，共四百肘；	And Joash the king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, at Beth–shemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, four hundred cubits.
24	又將俄別‧以東所看守神殿裡的一切金銀和器皿，與王宮裡的財寶都拿了去，並帶人去為質，就回撒馬利亞去了。	And he took all the gold and the silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obed–edom, and the treasures of the king’s house, the hostages also, and returned to Samaria.
25	以色列王約哈斯的兒子約阿施死後，猶大王約阿施的兒子亞瑪謝又活了十五年。	And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.
26	亞瑪謝其餘的事，自始至終不都寫在猶大和以色列諸王記上嗎？	Now the rest of the acts of Amaziah, first and last, behold, are they not written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel?
27	自從亞瑪謝離棄耶和華之後，在耶路撒冷有人背叛他，他就逃到拉吉；叛黨卻打發人到拉吉，將他殺了。	Now after the time that Amaziah did turn away from following the Lord they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem; and he fled to Lachish: but they sent to Lachish after him, and slew him there.
28	人就用馬將他的屍首馱回，葬在猶大京城他列祖的墳地裡。	And they brought him upon horses, and buried him with his fathers in the city of Judah.
