| 1 | 亞撒 三十 六 年，以色列 王 巴沙 上來 攻擊 猶大，修築 拉瑪，不 許 人從猶大 王 亞撒 那裡出 入。 | In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah. |
| 2 | 於是亞撒 從耶和華 殿 和王 宮 的府庫 裡拿出 金 銀來，送 與 住 大馬士革 的亞蘭 王便‧哈達，說： | Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the Lord and of the king’s house, and sent to Ben–hadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying, |
| 3 | 「 你父 曾與 我父立約，我 與你 也要立約。 現在我將金 銀 送 給你， 求你廢掉 你與 以色列 王 巴沙 所立的約，使他離開 我。」 | There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me. |

| 8 | 古實人、路比人 的軍隊 不 是 甚大嗎？戰車 馬兵 不是極 多嗎？只因你仰賴 耶和華，他便將他們交 在你手裡。 | Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the Lord, he delivered them into thine hand. |
| 9 | 耶和華 的眼目 遍察 全 地，要顯大能 幫助 向他 心 存誠實的人。你 這 事行得愚昧； 此後，你 必有 爭戰的事。」 | For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. |
| 10 | 亞撒 因 此 惱恨 先見，將他囚 在監裡。那 時 亞撒 也虐待 一些 人民。 | Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time. |
| 11 | 亞撒 所行的事，自始 至終 都寫 在 猶大 和以色列 諸王 記上。 | And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. |
| 12 | 亞撒 作王 三十 九 年，他腳上 有病，而且 甚 重。 病 的時候沒有 求 耶和華，只 求醫生。 | And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians. |
| 13 | 他 作王 四十 一 年 而死，與 他列祖 同睡， | And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign. |
| 14 | 葬 在大衛 城 自己 所 鑿 的墳墓裡，放 在床上，其床 堆滿 各樣 馨香的香料，就是按做香的 作法 調和的香料，又為他 燒了 許 多 的物件。 | And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds of spices prepared by the apothecaries’ art: and they made a very great burning for him. |
