| 2 | 在耶路撒冷 作王 三 年。他母親 名叫 米該亞（又作瑪迦），是 基比亞人 烏列 的女兒。 亞比雅 常與 耶羅波安 爭戰。 | He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name also was Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam. |

| 7 | 有些無賴 的匪 徒 聚集 跟從他，逞強 攻擊 所羅門 的兒子 羅波安；那時羅波安 還 幼 弱，不能 抵擋 他們。 | And there are gathered unto him vain men, the children of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them. |
| 8 | 「現在 你們 有意 抗拒 大衛 子孫 手下 所治耶和華 的國，你們 的人也甚 多，你們那裡又有 耶羅波安 為你們 所 造 當作神 的金 牛犢。 | And now ye think to withstand the kingdom of the Lord in the hand of the sons of David; and ye be a great multitude, and there are with you golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods. |
| 9 | 你們不是 驅逐 耶和華 的祭司 亞倫 的後裔 和利未人嗎？不是照著外邦 人 的惡俗為自己 立 祭司嗎？無論何人 牽 一隻公 牛 犢、七隻 公綿羊 將自己分別出來，就可作 虛無 之神 的祭司。 | Have ye not cast out the priests of the Lord, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods. |
| 10 | 至於我們，耶和華是我們的 神，我們並沒有 離棄他。我們有事奉 耶和華 的祭司，都是亞倫 的後裔，並有利未人 各盡其職， | But as for us, the Lord is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the Lord, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites wait upon their business: |
| 11 | 每日 早 晚 向耶和華 獻 燔祭，燒美 香，又在 精金 的桌子 上擺陳設 餅；又有金 燈臺 和燈盞，每 晚 點起，因為 我們 遵守 耶和華─我們 神 的命；惟有你們 離棄了 他。 | And they burn unto the Lord every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the shewbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the Lord our God; but ye have forsaken him. |
| 12 | 率領 我們的是 神，我們這裡也有 神 的祭司 拿號 向你們 吹出 大聲。以色列 人哪，不要 與 耶和華─你們列祖的 神 爭戰，因 你們必不能 亨通。」 | And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the Lord God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper. |
| 13 | 耶羅波安 卻在 猶大人的後頭 設 伏兵。這樣，以色列人在 猶大人 的前頭，伏兵 在猶大人的後頭。 | But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them. |
| 14 | 猶大人 回頭觀看，見 前 後都有敵兵，就呼求 耶和華，祭司 也吹 號。 | And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto the Lord, and the priests sounded with the trumpets. |
| 15 | 於是猶大 人 吶喊； 猶大 人 吶喊的時候， 神 就使 耶羅波安 和以色列 眾人 敗 在亞比雅 與猶大人 面前。 | Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah. |
| 16 | 以色列 人 在猶大人 面前 逃跑， 神 將他們交 在猶大人手裡。 | And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand. |
| 17 | 亞比雅 和他的軍兵 大大 殺戮 以色列人，以色列人 仆倒 死亡 的精 兵 有五十萬。 | And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men. |
| 18 | 那 時，以色列 人 被制伏了，猶大 人 得勝，是因 倚靠 耶和華─他們列祖的 神。 | Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the Lord God of their fathers. |
| 19 | 亞比雅 追 趕 耶羅波安，攻取了 他的 幾座城，就是 伯特利 和 屬伯特利的鎮市， 耶沙拿 和 屬耶沙拿的鎮市， 以法拉音（或譯：以弗倫）和屬以法拉音的鎮市。 | And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Beth–el with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephrain with the towns thereof. |
| 20 | 亞比雅 在世的時候，耶羅波安 不能 再 強盛；耶和華 攻擊他，他就死了。 | Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah: and the Lord struck him, and he died. |
| 21 | 亞比雅 卻漸漸強盛，娶 妻妾 十 四個，生了 二十 二 個兒子，十 六 個女兒。 | But Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters. |
| 22 | 亞比雅 其餘 的事 和他的言 行 都寫在 先知 易多 的傳上。 | And the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo. |
