| 15 | 若是 你們以 事奉 耶和華 為不好，今日就 可以選擇所要 事奉的：是 你們列祖 在大河 那邊 所 事奉 的神呢？是 你們 所 住 這地 的亞摩利人 的神呢？至於我 和我家，我們必定事奉 耶和華。」 | And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. |

| 17 | 因 耶和華─我們的 神曾 將我們 和 我們列祖 從埃及 地 的為奴 之家 領出來， 在我們眼前 行了 那些 大 神蹟，在 我們所 行 的 道上，所 經 過 的諸 國，都保護了我們。 | For the Lord our God, he it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed: |
| 18 | 耶和華 又把 住 此地的 亞摩利人 都 從我們面前 趕出去。所以，我們必 事奉 耶和華，因為 他是我們的 神。」 | And the Lord drave out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the Lord; for he is our God. |
| 19 | 約書亞 對 百姓 說：「你們不 能 事奉 耶和華；因為 他是 聖潔的 神，是 忌邪的 神，必不 赦免 你們的過犯 罪惡。 | And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the Lord: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins. |
| 20 | 你們若 離棄 耶和華 去事奉 外邦 神，耶和華在 降福 之後，必轉 而降禍 與你們，把你們 滅絕。」 | If ye forsake the Lord, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good. |
| 21 | 百姓 回答 約書亞 說：「不然，我們定要 事奉 耶和華。」 | And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the Lord. |
| 22 | 約書亞 對 百姓 說：「 你們 選定 耶和華，要事奉 他，你們 自己 作見證吧！」他們說：「我們願意作見證。」 | And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the Lord, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses. |
| 23 | 約書亞說：「你們現在 要除掉 你們中間的 外邦 神，專 心 歸向 耶和華─以色列的 神。」 | Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel. |
| 24 | 百姓 回答 約書亞 說：「我們必事奉 耶和華─我們的 神，聽從 他的話。」 | And the people said unto Joshua, The Lord our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey. |
| 25 | 當 日，約書亞 就與百姓 立 約，在示劍 為他們 立定 律例 典章。 | So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem. |
| 26 | 約書亞 將 這些 話 都寫在 神 的律法 書上，又將 一塊大 石頭 立 在橡樹 下 耶和華 的聖所 旁邊。 | And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the Lord. |
| 27 | 約書亞 對 百姓 說：「看哪，這 石頭 可以 向我們 作見證；因為 是 聽見了 耶和華 所 吩咐 我們 的一切 話，倘或 你們背棄你們的 神，這石頭就可以 向你們 作見證（倘或...見證：或譯所以要向你們作見證，免得你們背棄耶和華─你們的 神）。」 | And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the Lord which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God. |
| 28 | 於是約書亞 打發 百姓 各 歸自己的地業去了。 | So Joshua let the people depart, every man unto his inheritance. |
| 29 | 這些 事 以後，耶和華 的僕人 嫩 的兒子 約書亞，正一百 一十 歲，就死了。 | And it came to pass after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died, being an hundred and ten years old. |
| 30 | 以色列 人將他 葬 在他地業 的境內，就是 在以法蓮 山地的亭拿‧西拉，在迦實 山 的北邊。 | And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath–serah, which is in mount Ephraim, on the north side of the hill of Gaash. |
| 31 | 約書亞 在世 和約書亞 死後，那些 知道 耶和華 為以色列人 所 行 諸 事 的長老 還在 的時候，以色列人 事奉 耶和華。 | And Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that overlived Joshua, and which had known all the works of the Lord, that he had done for Israel. |
| 32 | 以色列 人 從埃及 所 帶來 約瑟 的骸骨，葬埋 在示劍，就是 在雅各 從前用一百 塊銀子 向 示劍 的父親、哈抹 的子孫 所買的 那塊 地裡；這就作了 約瑟 子孫 的產業。 | And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph. |
