| 1 | 以色列 人 在迦南 地 所 得的產業，就是 祭司 以利亞撒 和嫩 的兒子 約書亞，並以色列 各支派 的族 長 所分 給他們的，都記在下面， | And these are the countries which the children of Israel inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance to them. |
| 2 | 是照耶和華 藉 摩西 所 吩咐的，把產業 拈鬮 分給九 個 半 支派。 | By lot was their inheritance, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses, for the nine tribes, and for the half tribe. |
| 3 | 原來，摩西 在約旦河 東 已經把產業 分給 那兩 個 半 支派，只是在他們中間 沒有 把產業 分 給利未人。 | For Moses had given the inheritance of two tribes and an half tribe on the other side Jordan: but unto the Levites he gave none inheritance among them. |
| 4 | 因為 約瑟 的子孫 是 兩個 支派，就是瑪拿西 和以法蓮，所以沒有 把 地 分 給利未人，但 給他們城邑 居住，並城邑的郊野，可以牧養他們的牲畜，安置他們的財物。 | For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance. |

| 6 | 那時，猶大 人 來 到吉甲 見 約書亞，有基尼洗族 耶孚尼 的兒子 迦勒 對約書亞 說：「耶和華在加低斯‧巴尼亞 指著我與 你 對 神 人 摩西 所 說的 話，你 都知道了。 | Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadesh–barnea. |
| 7 | 耶和華 的僕人 摩西從加低斯‧巴尼亞 打發 我 窺探 這 地，那時我 正四十 歲；我按 著 心意 回 報 他。 | Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh–barnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart. |
| 8 | 然而，同我 上去 的 眾弟兄 使 百姓 的心 消化；但我 專心 跟從 耶和華─我的 神。 | Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God. |
| 9 | 當 日 摩西 起誓 說：『你腳 所 踏之 地 定要 歸 你 和你的子孫 永遠 為業，因為 你專心 跟從 耶和華─我的 神。』 | And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God. |
| 10 | 自從 耶和華 對 摩西 說 這 話的時候，耶和華 照他所 應許的 使我 存活 這 四十 五 年；其間 以色列 人在曠野 行走。看哪，現今 我 八十 五 歲了， | And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. |
| 11 | 我還是 強壯，像 摩西 打發 我 去的那天一樣；無論是爭戰，是出 入，我的力量 那時 如何，現在 還是如何。 | As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in. |
| 12 | 求你將耶和華 那 日 應許我的 這 山地 給 我； 那裡 有亞衲族人，並寬大 堅固 的城， 你也曾 聽見了。或者 耶和華 照他所 應許的 與我同在，我就把他們趕出去。」 | Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said. |
| 13 | 於是約書亞 為耶孚尼 的兒子 迦勒 祝福，將 希伯崙 給 他為業。 | And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance. |
| 14 | 所以 希伯崙 作了 基尼洗族 耶孚尼 的兒子 迦勒 的產業，直到 今 日，因為 他專心 跟從 耶和華─以色列的 神。 | Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel. |
| 15 | 希伯崙 從前 名叫基列‧亞巴；亞巴是 亞衲族中 最尊大的 人。於是國中 太平，沒有爭戰了。 | And the name of Hebron before was Kirjath–arba; which Arba was a great man among the Anakims. And the land had rest from war. |
