| 2 | 這第二次 在酒 席筵前，王 又 問以斯帖 說：「王后 以斯帖啊，你要 甚麼，我必賜 給你；你求 甚麼，就是 國 的一半 也必為你成就。」 | And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom. |
| 3 | 王后 以斯帖 回答 說：「我若 在王 眼前 蒙 恩， 王 若 以為美，我所願的，是願王將我的性命 賜 給我；我所求的，是求王將我的本族賜給我。 | Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request: |
| 4 | 因 我 和我的本族 被賣了，要剪除 殺戮 滅絕我們。我們若 被賣 為奴 為婢，我也閉口不言；但 王 的損失，敵人 萬不能 補足。」 | For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king’s damage. |
| 5 | 亞哈隨魯 王 問 王后 以斯帖 說：「 擅敢 起意 如此 行 的是 誰？這人 在哪裡呢？」 | Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so? |
| 6 | 以斯帖 說：「仇 人 敵人 就是這 惡人 哈曼！」哈曼 在王 和王后 面前 就甚驚惶。 | And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen. |
| 7 | 王 便大怒，起來 離開酒 席 往 御 園去了。 哈曼 見 王 定意 要加罪 與他，就起來，求 王后 以斯帖 救 命。 | And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king. |
| 8 | 王 從御 園 回 到 酒 席 之處，見哈曼 伏 在 以斯帖 所 靠 的榻上；王 說：「他竟敢 在宮內、在我面前 凌辱 王后嗎？」這話 一出 王 口，人就蒙了 哈曼 的臉。 | Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face. |
| 9 | 伺候 王 的 一個 太監 名叫哈波拿，說：「 哈曼 為那 救 王 有 功 的末底改 做了 五 丈 高 的木架，現今立 在哈曼 家裡。」王 說：「把哈曼掛 在其上。」 | And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon. |
| 10 | 於是人將 哈曼 掛 在 他為末底改 所 預備 的木架上。王 的忿怒 這才止息。 | So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king’s wrath pacified. |
