| 1 | 嗐！你們這些富足人哪，應當哭泣、號咷，因為 將有 苦難 臨到你們身上。 | Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. |
| 2 | 你們的 財物 壞了， 衣服 也被 蟲子咬了。 | Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. |
| 3 | 你們的 金 銀 都長了銹； 那 銹 要 證明 你們的不是，又要 吃 你們的 肉，如同 火燒。你們在 這末世 只知積攢錢財。 | Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days. |
| 4 | 工人 給你們 收割 莊稼， 你們 虧欠 他們的工錢，這工錢有聲音呼叫，並且 那收割 之人的冤聲 已經入了 萬軍 之主 的耳了。 | Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth. |
| 5 | 你們在世 上 享美福， 好宴樂，當 宰殺 的日子 竟嬌養 你們的 心。 | Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. |
| 6 | 你們定了義人 的罪，把他殺害，他也不 抵擋 你們。 | Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you. |
| 7 | 弟兄們哪， 你們要忍耐，直到 主 來。看哪，農夫 忍耐 等候 地裡 寶貴的 出產，直到 得了 秋雨春雨。 | Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. |
| 8 | 你們 也當 忍耐，堅固 你們的 心，因為 主 來 的日子近了。 | Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. |
| 9 | 弟兄們，你們不要 彼此 埋怨，免得 受審判。看哪，審判的主 站 在門 前了。 | Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. |
| 10 | 弟兄們，你們要把那 先前奉 主 名 說話 的眾先知 當作 能受苦 能忍耐 的榜樣。 | Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. |
| 11 | 那先前忍耐的人，我們稱他們是有福的。你們聽見 過約伯 的忍耐，也 知道 主 給他的結局， 明顯主 是 滿心憐憫， 大有慈悲。 | Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. |
| 12 | 我的 弟兄們， 最要緊的 是不可 起誓；不可 指著天起誓，也不可 指著地起誓，無論何 誓 都不可起。 你們說話，是，就 說是； 不是，就說不是，免得 你們落 在審判 之下。 | But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. |
| 13 | 你們 中間 有 受苦的呢，他就該禱告；有 喜樂的呢，他就該歌頌。 | Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. |
| 14 | 你們 中間 有 病了的呢，他就該請 教會 的長老來； 他們可以奉 主 的名 用油 抹 他，為 他 禱告。 | Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: |
| 15 | 出於信心 的祈禱 要救 那病人， 主 必叫他 起來；他若 犯了 罪，也必蒙赦免。 | And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. |
| 16 | 所以 你們要彼此 認 罪， 互相代求，使 你們可以得醫治。義人 祈禱 所發的力量 是大有 功效的。 | Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. |
| 17 | 以利亞 與我們 是 一樣 性情的人， 他懇切 禱告，求不要 下雨，雨 就 三 年 零 六個 月 不 下在地 上。 | Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. |
| 18 | 他又 禱告，天 就 降下 雨來，地 也 生出 土產。 | And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. |
| 19 | 我的 弟兄們，你們 中間 若 有 失迷 真道的， 有人 使他 回轉， | Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; |
| 20 | 這人 該知道： 叫一個罪人 從 迷路 上轉回 便是救 一個靈魂 不 死，並且 遮蓋 許多的 罪。 | Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. |
