| 1 | 以色列 家啊，要聽 我 為你們 所 作的 哀歌： | Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel. |
| 2 | 以色列民（原文是處女）跌倒，不得 再 起；躺 在地 上，無人 攙扶。 | The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land; there is none to raise her up. |
| 3 | 主 耶和華 如此 說：以色列 家 的城 發出 一千兵的，只剩 一百；發出 一百的，只剩 十個。 | For thus saith the Lord God; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel. |
| 4 | 耶和華 向以色列 家 如此 說：你們要尋求我，就必存活。 | For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live: |
| 5 | 不要 往伯特利 尋求，不要 進入 吉甲，不要 過 到別是巴；因為 吉甲 必 被擄掠，伯特利 也必 歸於無有。 | But seek not Beth–el, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beer–sheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Beth–el shall come to nought. |

| 8 | 要尋求那造 昴星 和參星，使死蔭 變為 晨光，使白日 變為黑 夜，命 海 水 來澆 在 地 上的─耶和華 是他的名； | Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name: |
| 9 | 他使 力強的 忽遭滅亡，以致 保障 遭遇 毀壞。 | That strengtheneth the spoiled against the strong, so that the spoiled shall come against the fortress. |
| 10 | 你們怨恨 那在城門口 責備人的，憎惡 那說 正直話的。 | They hate him that rebuketh in the gate, and they abhor him that speaketh uprightly. |
| 11 | 你們踐踏 貧民，向他們 勒索 麥子；你們用鑿過的石頭 建造 房屋，卻不得 住 在其內；栽種 美好 的葡萄園，卻不得 喝 所出的酒。 | Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye take from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them; ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them. |
| 12 | 我知道 你們的罪過 何等多，你們的罪惡 何等大。你們苦待 義人，收受 賄賂，在城門口 屈枉 窮乏人。 | For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right. |
| 13 | 所以 通達人 見這樣的 時勢 必靜默不言，因為 時勢 真 惡。 | Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an evil time. |
| 14 | 你們要求 善，不要 求惡，就必 存活。這樣，耶和華─萬軍之 神 必照你們所 說的 與你們 同在。 | Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. |
| 15 | 要惡 惡 好 善，在城門口 秉 公行義；或者 耶和華─萬軍之 神 向約瑟 的餘民 施恩。 | Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph. |
| 16 | 主 耶和華─萬軍之 神 如此 說：在一切 寬闊處 必有哀號的聲音；在各 街市上 必有人說：哀哉！哀哉！又必叫 農夫 來 哭號，叫善 唱哀歌的 來 舉哀。 | Therefore the Lord, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing. |
| 17 | 在各 葡萄園 必有哀號的聲音，因為 我必從你中間 經過。這是耶和華 說的。 | And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the Lord. |
| 18 | 想望 耶和華 日子 來到的有禍了！你們 為何想望 耶和華 的日子呢？那日 黑暗 沒有 光明， | Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light. |
| 19 | 景況好像 人 躲避 獅子 又遇見 熊，或是進 房屋 以手 靠 牆，就被蛇 咬。 | As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. |
| 20 | 耶和華 的日子 不是 黑暗 沒有 光明嗎？不是幽暗 毫無 光輝嗎？ | Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? |
| 21 | 我厭 惡 你們的節期，也不 喜悅 你們的嚴肅會。 | I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. |
| 22 | 你們雖然 向我 獻 燔祭 和素祭，我卻不 悅納，也不 顧 你們用肥畜 獻的平安祭； | Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts. |
| 23 | 要使你們歌唱 的聲音 遠離 我，因為我不 聽 你們彈琴 的響聲。 | Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. |
| 24 | 惟願公平 如大水 滾滾，使公義 如江河 滔滔。 | But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream. |
| 25 | 「以色列 家啊，你們在曠野 四十 年，豈是將祭物 和供物 獻 給我呢？ | Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? |
| 26 | 你們抬著 為自己所 造 之摩洛 的帳幕和 偶像 的龕，並你們的神 星。 | But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves. |
| 27 | 所以我要把你們 擄 到大馬士革 以外。」這是耶和華、名 為萬軍之 神 說的。 | Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the Lord, whose name is The God of hosts. |
