| 1 | 「以色列人哪，現在 我 所 教訓 你們的 律例 典章，你們要聽從 遵行，好叫 你們存活，得以進入 耶和華─你們列祖之 神 所 賜 給你們的 地，承受為業。 | Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you. |
| 2 | 所 吩咐 你們 的話，你們不可 加添，也不可 刪減，好叫你們遵守 我 所 吩咐的，就是耶和華─你們 神 的命令。 | Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. |
| 3 | 耶和華因巴力‧毘珥 的事所 行的，你們親眼 看見了。 凡 隨 從巴力‧毘珥 的人，耶和華─你們的 神 都 從你們中間 除滅了。 | Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baal–peor: for all the men that followed Baal–peor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you. |
| 4 | 惟有你們 專靠 耶和華─你們 神的人，今日 全都 存活。 | But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day. |
| 5 | 我照著 耶和華─我 神 所 吩咐的 將律例 典章 教訓 你們，使你們 在所 要進去 得為業 的地 上 遵 行。 | Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. |
| 6 | 所以 你們要謹守 遵行； 這就是 你們在萬民 眼前 的智慧、聰明。他們 聽見 這 一切 律例，必說：『這 大 國 的人 真是 有智慧，有聰明！』 | Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. |
| 7 | 哪 一大 國的人有 神 與他們 相近，像耶和華─我們的 神、在 我們求告 他的時候與我們相近呢？ | For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for? |
| 8 | 又哪 一大 國 有這樣 公義的 律例 典章、像 我 今日 在你們面前 所 陳明的 這 一切律法呢？ | And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? |
| 9 | 「你 只要 謹慎，殷勤 保守 你的心靈，免得 忘記 你親眼 所 看見 的事，又免得 你一 生、這事離開 你的心；總要傳 給你的子 子孫 孫。 | Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons; |
| 10 | 你在何烈山 站 在耶和華─你 神 面前 的那 日，耶和華 對我 說：『你為我 招聚 百姓，我要叫他們聽見 我的話，使 他們 存活 在 世的 日子，可以 學習 敬畏 我，又可以教訓 兒女這樣行。』 | Specially the day that thou stoodest before the Lord thy God in Horeb, when the Lord said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children. |
| 11 | 那時你們近前來，站 在山 下；山 上有火焰 沖 天，並有昏黑、密雲、幽暗。 | And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness. |
| 12 | 耶和華 從火焰 中 對你們 說話，你們 只聽見 聲音，卻沒有 看見 形像。 | And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. |
| 13 | 他將 所 吩咐 你們 當守 的約 指示 你們，就是十 條誡，並將這誡寫 在 兩 塊石 版上。 | And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. |
| 14 | 那 時 耶和華 又吩咐 我 將律例 典章 教訓 你們，使你們 在所 要過去 得為業 的地上 遵行。」 | And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to possess it. |
| 15 | 「所以，你們要 分外 謹慎；因為 耶和華 在何烈山、從火 中 對你們 說話 的那日，你們沒有 看見 甚麼 形像。 | Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the Lord spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire: |
| 16 | 惟恐 你們敗壞自己，雕刻 偶像，彷彿 甚麼 男 像 女像， | Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, |
| 17 | 或 地上 走獸 的像，或空中 飛 鳥的 像， | The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air, |
| 18 | 或地上 爬 物的像，或地 底下 水中 魚 的像。 | The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth: |
| 19 | 又恐怕 你向天 舉 目觀看，見 耶和華─你的 神為 天 下 萬 民 所 擺列的 日 月 星，就是天上 的萬 象，自己便被勾引 敬拜 事奉 它。 | And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the Lord thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. |
| 20 | 耶和華 將你們 從埃及 領出來， 脫離 鐵 爐，要特作 自己 產業 的子民，像今 日一樣。 | But the Lord hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day. |
| 21 | 耶和華 又因 你們的緣故 向我 發怒，起誓 必不容我 過 約旦河，也不容我 進 入 耶和華─你 神 所 賜 你 為業 的那美 地。 | Furthermore the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance: |
| 22 | 我 只得 死 在這 地，不能 過 約旦河；但你們 必過去 得 那 美 地。 | But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good land. |
| 23 | 你們要謹慎，免得 忘記 耶和華─你們 神 與你們 所 立 的約，為自己 雕刻 偶像，就是 耶和華─你 神 所禁止 你做的 偶像； | Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the Lord your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the Lord thy God hath forbidden thee. |
| 24 | 因為 耶和華─你的 神 乃是烈 火，是 忌邪的 神。 | For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God. |
| 25 | 「 你們在那地 住久了，生 子 生孫，就雕刻 偶像，彷彿甚麼 形像，敗壞自己，行 耶和華─你 神 眼 中看為惡的事，惹他發怒。 | When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the Lord thy God, to provoke him to anger: |
| 26 | 我今日呼 天喚 地 向你們 作見證， 你們 必在 過 約旦河 得為業 的地上 速速 滅 盡！你們不能 在那地上 長久，必 盡行 除滅。 | I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. |
| 27 | 耶和華 必使你們 分散 在萬民中；在他 所 領 你們 到的萬國裡，你們剩下 的人數 稀少。 | And the Lord shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the Lord shall lead you. |
| 28 | 在那裡，你們必事奉 人 手 所造 的神，就是用木 石造成、 不能 看、不能 聽、不能 吃、不能 聞的神。 | And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. |
| 29 | 但你們在那裡 必尋求 耶和華─你的 神。 你盡 心 盡 性 尋求他的時候，就必尋見。 | But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. |
| 30 | 日 後 你 遭遇 一切 患難的時候，你必歸回 耶和華─你的 神，聽從 他的話。 | When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; |
| 31 | 耶和華─你 神 原是 有憐憫的 神；他總不 撇下你，不 滅絕你，也不 忘記 他起誓 與你列祖 所 立的約。 | (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them. |
| 32 | 「你且 考察 在你以前 的世代，自 神 造 人 在 世以來，從天 這邊 到 天 那邊，曾有何民 聽見 神 在火 中 說話 的聲音，像 你 聽見 還能存活呢？這樣 的大 事 何曾有、何 曾聽見呢？ | For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it? |
| 33 | a | Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live? |
| 34 | 神 何 曾 從別的國 中 將 一國 的人民領出來，用試驗、神蹟、奇事、爭戰、大能 的手，和伸 出來的膀臂，並大 可畏的事，像耶和華─你們的 神 在埃及，在你們眼前 為你們 所 行 的一切事呢？ | Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? |
| 35 | 這是顯 給你看，要使你知道，惟有 耶和華─他是 神，除他以外，再 無別神。 | Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the Lord he is God; there is none else beside him. |
| 36 | 他從 天上 使你聽見 他的聲音，為要教訓你，又在 地 上使你看見 他的烈 火，並且聽見 他從火 中 所說的話。 | Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire. |
| 37 | 因 他愛 你的列祖，所以揀選 他們的 後裔，用大 能 親自 領你出了 埃及， | And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt; |
| 38 | 要將比你 強 大 的國民 從你面前 趕出，領你進去，將 他們的地 賜 你 為業，像今 日一樣。 | To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day. |
| 39 | 所以，今日 你要知道，也要記 在 心上，天 上 地 下 惟有 耶和華 他是 神，除他以外，再 無別神。 | Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. |
| 40 | 我 今日 將 他的律例 誡命 曉諭你，你要遵守，使 你 和你的子孫 可以得福，並使 你的日子 在 耶和華─你 神 所 賜 的地 上 得以長久。」 | Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever. |
| 41 | 「那時，摩西 在約旦河 東，向日出之地，分定 三 座城， | Then Moses severed three cities on this side Jordan toward the sunrising; |
| 42 | 使那 素 無 仇恨、無 心 殺了 人的，可以逃 到 這 三城 之中 的一座城，就得存活： | That the slayer might flee thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live: |
| 43 | 為流便人 分定曠野 平原的 比悉；為迦得人 分定基列的 拉末；為瑪拿西人 分定巴珊的 哥蘭。」 | Namely, Bezer in the wilderness, in the plain country, of the Reubenites; and Ramoth in Gilead, of the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, of the Manassites. |
| 44 | 摩西 在以色列 人 面前 所 陳明 的律法─ | And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel: |
| 45 | 就是 摩西 在以色列 人 出 埃及 後所 傳 給 他們的法度、律例、典章； | These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments, which Moses spake unto the children of Israel, after they came forth out of Egypt, |
| 46 | 在約旦河 東伯‧毘珥 對面 的谷中，在住 希實本、亞摩利 王 西宏 之 地；這西宏 是摩西 和以色列 人 出 埃及 後所擊殺的。 | On this side Jordan, in the valley over against Beth–peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt: |
| 47 | 他們得了 他的地，又得了 巴珊 王 噩 的地，就是 兩 個亞摩利 王，在約旦河 東 向日出之地。 | And they possessed his land, and the land of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising; |
| 48 | 從亞嫩 谷 邊 的 亞羅珥，直到 西雲 山，就是 黑門山。 | From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon, |
| 49 | 還有約旦河 東 的全 亞拉巴，直到 亞拉巴 海，靠近毘斯迦 山 根。 | And all the plain on this side Jordan eastward, even unto the sea of the plain, under the springs of Pisgah. |
