| 1 | 你們要稱謝 耶和華，因 他本為善； 他的慈愛 永遠長存！ | O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. |
| 2 | 願耶和華 的贖民 說這話，就是他從敵人 手 中所 救贖的， | Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; |
| 3 | 從各地，從東 從西，從南 從北，所招聚來的。 | And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. |
| 4 | 他們在曠野 荒 地 漂流，尋不 見 可住 的城邑， | They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. |
| 5 | 又飢 又 渴，心 裡 發昏。 | Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. |
| 6 | 於是，他們 在苦難中 哀求 耶和華；他從他們的禍患中 搭救他們， | Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. |
| 7 | 又領他們 行走直 路，使他們往 可居住 的城邑。 | And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. |
| 8 | 但願人因耶和華 的慈愛 和他向人 所行的奇事 都稱讚他； | Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! |
| 9 | 因 他使心裡 渴慕的人 得以知足，使心裡 飢餓 的人得飽 美物。 | For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. |
| 10 | 那些坐在 黑暗中、死蔭 裡的人被困苦 和鐵 鍊捆鎖， | Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; |
| 11 | 是因 他們違背 神 的話語，藐視 至高者 的旨意。 | Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High: |
| 12 | 所以，他用勞苦 治服 他們的心；他們仆倒，無人 扶助。 | Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help. |
| 13 | 於是，他們 在苦難中 哀求 耶和華；他從他們的禍患中 拯救他們。 | Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. |
| 14 | 他從黑暗中 和死蔭 裡領他們出來，折斷 他們的綁索。 | He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder. |
| 15 | 但願人因耶和華 的慈愛 和他向人 所行的奇事 都稱讚他； | Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! |
| 16 | 因為 他打破了 銅 門，砍斷了 鐵 閂。 | For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder. |
| 17 | 愚妄人 因 自己的過犯 和自己的罪孽 便受苦楚。 | Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. |
| 18 | 他們心裡 厭惡 各樣的 食物，就臨近 死 門。 | Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death. |
| 19 | 於是，他們 在苦難中 哀求 耶和華；他從他們的禍患中 拯救他們。 | Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. |
| 20 | 他發 命 醫治他們，救 他們脫離死亡。 | He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. |
| 21 | 但願人因耶和華 的慈愛 和他向人 所行的奇事 都稱讚他。 | Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! |
| 22 | 願他們以感謝 為祭 獻給他，歡呼 述說 他的作為！ | And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing. |
| 23 | 在 海 上坐船，在大 水中 經理 事務的， | They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; |
| 24 | 他們 看見 耶和華 的作為，並他在深水中 的奇事。 | These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep. |
| 25 | 因他一吩咐，狂 風 就起來，海中的波浪 也揚起。 | For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. |
| 26 | 他們上到 天空，下到 海底；他們的心 因患難 便消化。 | They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. |
| 27 | 他們搖搖晃晃，東倒西歪，好像醉酒的人； 他們的智慧 無法可施。 | They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end. |
| 28 | 於是，他們 在苦難中 哀求 耶和華，他從他們的禍患中 領出他們來。 | Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. |
| 29 | 他使 狂風 止息，波浪 就平靜。 | He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. |
| 30 | 風息浪靜，他們便歡喜；他就引他們 到 所願去 的海口。 | Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. |
| 31 | 但願人因耶和華 的慈愛 和他向人 所行的奇事 都稱讚他。 | Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! |
| 32 | 願他們在民 的會中 尊崇他，在長老 的位上 讚美他！ | Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders. |
| 33 | 他使江河 變 為曠野，叫水 泉 變為乾渴之地， | He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground; |
| 34 | 使肥 地 變為鹼地；這都因其間 居民的 罪惡。 | A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein. |
| 35 | 他使曠野 變 為水 潭，叫旱 地 變為水 泉。 | He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings. |
| 36 | 他使飢餓 的人住 在那裡，好建造 可住 的城邑， | And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation; |
| 37 | 又種 田地，栽 葡萄園，得享所出的 土產。 | And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase. |
| 38 | 他又賜福給他們，叫他們生養 眾多，也不 叫他們的牲畜 減少。 | He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease. |
| 39 | 他們又因暴虐、患難、愁苦，就減少 且卑下。 | Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow. |
| 40 | 他使 君王 蒙羞 被辱，使他們在荒廢 無 路 之地漂流。 | He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way. |
| 41 | 他卻將窮乏人 安置在高處，脫離苦難，使 他的家屬 多如羊群。 | Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock. |
| 42 | 正直人 看見 就歡喜；罪孽之輩 必塞 口無言。 | The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth. |
| 43 | 凡 有智慧的，必在這些事上 留心，也必思想 耶和華 的慈愛。 | Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the Lord. |
