| 1 | 當猶大 王 亞們 的兒子 約西亞 在位的時候，耶和華 的話 臨 到 希西家 的玄孫，亞瑪利雅 的曾孫，基大利 的孫子，古示 的兒子 西番雅。 | The word of the Lord which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hizkiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah. |
| 2 | 耶和華 說：我必從 地 上 除滅 萬類。 | I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the Lord. |
| 3 | 我必除滅 人 和牲畜，與 空中 的鳥、海裡 的魚，以及絆腳石和 惡人；我必將 人 從 地 上 剪除。這是耶和華 說的。 | I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the Lord. |

| 7 | 你要在主 耶和華 面前 靜默無聲，因為 耶和華 的日子 快到。 耶和華 已經預備 祭物，將他的客 分別為聖。 | Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord God: for the day of the Lord is at hand: for the Lord hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests. |
| 8 | 到了我─耶和華 獻祭 的日子，必懲罰 首領 和 王 子，並 一切 穿 外邦 衣服的。 | And it shall come to pass in the day of the Lord’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel. |
| 9 | 到那 日，我必懲罰 一切 跳 過 門檻、將強暴 和詭詐 得來之物充滿 主人 房屋的。 | In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold, which fill their masters’ houses with violence and deceit. |

| 11 | 瑪革提施 的居民哪，你們要哀號，因為 迦南的商 民 都 滅亡了！凡 搬運 銀子 的都被剪除。 | Howl, ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off. |
| 12 | 那 時，我必用燈 巡查 耶路撒冷；我必懲罰 那些如酒在渣滓上 澄清 的；他們心裡 說：耶和華 必不 降福，也不 降禍。 | And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The Lord will not do good, neither will he do evil. |
| 13 | 他們的財寶 必成為 掠物；他們的房屋 必變為荒場。他們必建造 房屋，卻不得 住在其內；栽種 葡萄園，卻不得 喝 所出的酒。 | Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof. |
| 14 | 耶和華 的大 日 臨近，臨近 而且甚 快，乃是耶和華 日子 的風聲；勇士 必痛痛地 哭號。 | The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. |
| 15 | 那 日 是忿怒 的日子，是急難 困苦 的日子，是荒廢 淒涼 的日子，是黑暗 幽冥、密雲 烏黑 的日子， | That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, |
| 16 | 是吹角 吶喊 的日子，要攻擊 堅固 城 和 高大 的城樓。 | A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. |
| 17 | 我必使災禍臨到 人身上，使他們行走 如同瞎眼的，因為 得罪了 我。他們的血 必倒出 如灰塵；他們的肉 必拋棄如糞土。 | And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. |
| 18 | 當耶和華 發怒 的日子， 他們的金 銀 不 能 救他們；他的忿怒 如火 必燒滅 全 地， 毀滅 這地 的一切 居民，而且 大大毀滅。 | Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. |
