| 1 | 那 時，希律 王 下 手 苦害 教會 中幾個人， | Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. |

| 12 | 想了一想，就往 那稱呼 馬可 的約翰、他母親 馬利亞 家 去，在那裡 有好些人 聚集 禱告。 | And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. |
| 13 | 彼得 敲 外門，有一個使女，名叫 羅大，出來 探聽， | And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. |
| 14 | 聽得 是彼得 的聲音，就 歡喜 的顧不得 開 門， 跑進去 告訴眾人說：「彼得 站 在 門外。」 | And when she knew Peter’s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. |
| 15 | 他們 說：「你是瘋了！」 使女極力地說：「真是他！」 他們說：「必是 他 的天使！」 | And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel. |
| 16 | 彼得 不住地 敲門。 他們開了門，看見 他，就 甚驚奇。 | But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished. |
| 17 | 彼得擺 手，不要他們 作聲，就告訴 他們 主 怎樣 領 他 出 監；又 說：「你們把這事 告訴 雅各 和 眾弟兄。」於是 出去，往 別 處 去了。 | But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place. |
| 18 | 到了 天亮， 兵丁 擾亂得很，不知道彼得 往哪裡 去了。 | Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter. |
| 19 | 希律 找 他， 找 不著，就審問 看守的人，吩咐 把他們拉去殺了。後來 希律離開 猶太，下 凱撒利亞去，住在那裡。 | And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judea to Cesarea, and there abode. |
| 20 | 希律 惱怒 泰爾、 西頓的人。 他們 那一帶地方 是從 王 的地土得糧，因此就 託了 王 的內侍臣 伯拉斯都的情， 一心 來 求 和。 | And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king’s chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king’s country. |
| 21 | 希律 在所定的 日子，穿上 朝服，坐 在 位上， 對 他們 講論一番。 | And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. |
| 22 | 百姓 喊著說：「這是 神 的聲音， 不是 人的聲音。」 | And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. |
| 23 | 希律不 歸 榮耀給 神，所以 主 的使者 立刻 罰 他， 他 被蟲所咬，氣就絕了。 | And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. |
| 24 | 神 的道 日見興旺， 越發廣傳。 | But the word of God grew and multiplied. |
| 25 | 巴拿巴 和 掃羅 辦完了 他們供給的事，就從 耶路撒冷 回來，帶著 稱呼 馬可 的約翰同去。 | And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark. |
