| 1 | 親愛的弟兄啊，我現在 寫 給你們 的 是第二封 信。 這兩封都是 提醒你們，激發 你們 誠實的 心， | This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: |
| 2 | 叫你們記念 聖 先知 預先 所說的話 和 主 救主 的命令，就是使徒 所傳給你們的。 | That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: |
| 3 | 第一要緊的，該知道 在 末 世 必有 好譏誚的人 隨從 自己的 私慾 出來譏誚說： | Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, |
| 4 | 「主 要降臨 的應許 在哪裡呢？因為 從 列祖 睡了以來，萬物 與 起初 創造 的時候仍是 一樣。」 | And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. |
| 5 | 他們 故意 忘記，從太古，憑 神 的命 有了 天，並 從 水 而出、 藉 水 而成的地。 | For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: |
| 6 | 故 此，當時的世界 被水 淹沒 就消滅了。 | Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: |
| 7 | 但 現在的 天 地 還是 憑著那 命 存留，直留 到 不敬虔 之人 受審判 遭沉淪 的日子，用火焚燒。 | But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. |
| 8 | 親愛的弟兄啊，有一件 事 你們 不可 忘記，就是 主 看 一 日 如 千 年， 千 年 如 一 日。 | But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. |
| 9 | 主 所應許的尚未成就， 有人 以為 他是耽延，其實不是 耽延，乃是 寬容 你們，不 願 有一人 沉淪，乃 願人人 都 悔改。 | The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. |
| 10 | 但 主 的日子 要像 賊 來到一樣。那日，天 必大有響聲 廢去， 有形質的 都要被烈火 銷化，地 和 其 上 的物 都要燒盡了。 | But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. |
| 11 | 這 一切 既然都要如此 銷化， 你們 為人 該當 怎樣 聖潔， 怎樣敬虔， | Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, |
| 12 | 切切 仰望 神 的日子 來到。在 那日，天 被火燒 就銷化了， 有形質的 都要被烈火 鎔化。 | Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? |
| 13 | 但 我們照 他的 應許，盼望 新 天 新 地，有義 居 在其 中。 | Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. |
| 14 | 親愛的弟兄啊，你們既盼望 這些事，就當殷勤，使自己沒有玷污， 無可指摘，安然 見 主； | Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. |
| 15 | 並且 要以我 主 長久忍耐 為得救 的因由，就如 我們 所親愛的 兄弟 保羅， 照著 所賜給 他 的智慧 寫了 信給你們。 | And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; |
| 16 | 他一切的 信 上 也 都是講論 這事。信 中 有些 難明白的，那 無學問、 不堅固 的人強解，如 強解別的 經書一樣，就 自 取沉淪。 | As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. |
| 17 | 親愛的弟兄啊，你們 既然 預先知道這事，就當防備，恐怕 被惡人 的錯謬 誘惑，就從自己 堅固的地步 上墜落。 | Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. |
| 18 | 你們卻要 在我們 主─ 救主 耶穌 基督 的恩典 和 知識 上 有長進。願榮耀 歸給他，從 今 直到 永遠。阿們！ | But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. |
