| 1 | 基督 既 在肉身 受苦，你們 也當將這樣的 心志 作為兵器，因為 在肉身 受過苦的，就已經與罪 斷絕了。 | Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; |
| 2 | 你們存這樣的心，從今以後就可以不從 人的 情慾，只從 神 的旨意 在 世 度 餘下的 光陰。 | That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. |
| 3 | 因為 往日 隨從 外邦人 的心意 行 邪淫、惡慾、醉酒、荒宴、群飲，並 可惡 拜偶像的事，時候已經夠了。 | For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: |
| 4 | 他們在這些事 上，見你們 不 與他們同 奔 那放蕩 無度的路，就以為怪，毀謗你們。 | Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: |
| 5 | 他們 必在那將 要 審判 活人 死人 的主面前交 帳。 | Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. |
| 6 | 為 此，就是死人 也曾有 福音傳給他們，要叫 他們的肉體 按著 人 受審判， 他們的靈性 卻靠 神 活著。 | For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. |
| 7 | 萬物 的結局 近了。所以，你們要謹慎自守， 警醒 禱告。 | But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. |
| 8 | 最要緊的 是 彼此 切實 相愛，因為 愛 能遮掩 許多的 罪。 | And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. |
| 9 | 你們要互相 款待，不 發怨言。 | Use hospitality one to another without grudging. |
| 10 | 各人 要照 所得的 恩賜 彼此 服事，作 神 百般 恩賜 的好 管家。 | As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. |
| 11 | 若 有 講道的，要按著 神 的聖言講；若 有 服事人的，要按著 神 所賜 的力量服事，叫 神 在凡事 上 因 耶穌 基督 得榮耀。原來榮耀、 權能 都是 他的，直到 永永遠遠。阿們！ | If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. |
| 12 | 親愛的弟兄啊，有火煉的試驗 臨到你們，不要 以為奇怪（似乎 是 遭遇 非常的事）， | Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: |
| 13 | 倒要 歡喜；因為 你們是與基督 一同受 苦， 使你們在他 榮耀 顯現 的時候，也可以歡喜 快樂。 | But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. |
| 14 | 你們若 為 基督 的名 受辱罵，便是有福的；因為 神 榮耀的 靈 常住 在你們 身上。 | If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. |
| 15 | 你們 中間卻 不可 有人 因為 殺人、 偷竊、 作惡、 好管閒事 而受苦。 | But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. |
| 16 | 若 為作 基督徒受苦，卻不要 羞恥，倒要 因 這 名 歸榮耀給 神。 | Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. |
| 17 | 因為 時候到了，審判 要從 神 的家 起首。 若是 先從 我們 起首，那不信從 神 福音 的人將有何等的 結局呢？ | For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? |
| 18 | 若是 義人 僅僅 得救，那不虔敬 和 犯罪的人 將有何地 可站呢？ | And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? |
| 19 | 所以，那照 神 旨意 受苦 的人要一心 為善，將自己 靈魂 交與 那信實 的造化之主。 | Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. |
