| 1 | 屬約瑟 的兒子 瑪拿西 的各族，有瑪拿西 的玄孫，瑪吉 的曾孫，基列 的孫子，希弗 的兒子 西羅非哈 的女兒， 名叫 瑪拉、挪阿、曷拉、密迦、得撒。她們前來， | Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. |

| 4 | 為甚麼 因 我們的父親 沒有 兒子 就把他的名 從他族 中 除掉呢？求你們在我們父親 的弟兄 中 分 給我們 產業。」 | Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father. |

| 6 | 耶和華 曉諭 摩西 說： | And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, |
| 7 | 「西羅非哈 的女兒 說 得有理。你定要 在她們父親 的弟兄 中，把地 分 給她們 為業；要將 她們父親的 產業 歸給 她們。 | The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them. |
| 8 | 你也要曉諭 以色列 人 說：『人 若 死了 沒有 兒子，就要把 他的產業 歸給 他的女兒。 | And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter. |
| 9 | 他若 沒有 女兒，就要把 他的產業 給 他的弟兄。 | And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren. |
| 10 | 他若 沒有 弟兄，就要把 他的產業 給 他父親 的弟兄。 | And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren. |
| 11 | 他父親 若 沒有 弟兄，就要把 他的產業 給 他 族中 最近 的親屬，他便要得 為業。』這要作 以色列 人 的律例 典章，是照 耶和華 吩咐 摩西的。」 | And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the Lord commanded Moses. |
| 12 | 耶和華 對 摩西 說：「你上 這 亞巴琳 山，觀看 我所 賜 給以色列 人 的地。 | And the Lord said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel. |
| 13 | 看了以後，你 也 必歸 到你列祖（原文是本民）那裡，像 你哥哥 亞倫 一樣。 | And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered. |
| 14 | 因為 你們在尋 的曠野，當會眾 爭鬧的時候，違背 了我的命，沒有在湧水之地、會眾眼前 尊我為聖。」（這 水就是尋 的曠野 加低斯 米利巴 水。） | For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin. |
| 15 | 摩西 對 耶和華 說： | And Moses spake unto the Lord, saying, |
| 16 | 「願耶和華 萬 人 之靈的 神，立 一個人 治理 會眾， | Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, |
| 17 | 可以在他們面前 出 入，也可以 引 導他們，免得 耶和華 的會眾如同 沒有 牧人 的羊群一般。」 | Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the Lord be not as sheep which have no shepherd. |
| 18 | 耶和華 對 摩西 說：「嫩 的兒子 約書亞 是 心中 有聖靈 的；你將他 領來，按 手 在他頭上， | And the Lord said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him; |
| 19 | 使他 站 在祭司 以利亞撒 和全 會眾 面前，囑咐 他， | And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. |
| 20 | 又將你的尊榮 給 他幾分，使 以色列 全 會眾 都聽從他。 | And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. |
| 21 | 他要站 在祭司 以利亞撒 面前；以利亞撒要憑烏陵 的判斷，在耶和華 面前 為他 求問。他 和 以色列 全 會眾 都 要遵 以利亞撒 的命 出 入。」 | And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the Lord: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation. |
| 22 | 於是摩西 照 耶和華 所吩咐 的將 約書亞 領來，使他站 在祭司 以利亞撒 和全 會眾 面前， | And Moses did as the Lord commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation: |
| 23 | 按 手 在他頭上，囑咐他，是照 耶和華 藉 摩西 所說的話。 | And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses. |
