| 1 | 「那時，天 國 好比 十個 童女 拿著 燈 出去 迎接 新郎。 | Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. |
| 2 | 其 中 有五個 是 愚拙的， 五個 是聰明的。 | And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. |
| 3 | 愚拙的 拿著 燈，卻不 預備 油； | They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: |
| 4 | 聰明的 拿著 燈，又預備 油 在 器皿裡。 | But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. |
| 5 | 新郎 遲延的時候，她們都 打盹， 睡著了。 | While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. |
| 6 | 半 夜 有人 喊著說：『 新郎來了，你們出來 迎接 他！』 | And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. |
| 7 | 那些 童女 就都 起來 收拾 燈。 | Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. |
| 8 | 愚拙的 對聰明的 說：『請分點 油 給 我們，因為 我們的 燈 要滅了。』 | And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. |
| 9 | 聰明的 回答 說：『恐怕 不 夠 你 我用的；不如 你們自己 到 賣 油的那裡去 買吧。』 | But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. |
| 10 | 她們 去 買的時候，新郎 到了。 那預備好了的，同 他 進去 坐席， 門 就關了。 | And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. |
| 11 | 其餘的 童女 隨後 也 來了，說：『主啊，主啊，給我們 開門！』 | Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. |
| 12 | 他卻 回答 說：『我實在 告訴 你們，我不 認識 你們。』 | But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. |
| 13 | 所以，你們要警醒；因為 那日子， 那時辰，你們不 知道。」 | Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. |
| 14 | 「 天國又好比 一個人 要往外國去，就叫了 僕人來， 把他的 家業 交給 他們， | For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. |
| 15 | 按著 各人 的 才幹 給他們銀子：一個 給了 五千， 一個 給了二千， 一個 給了一千， 就 往外國去了。 | And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. |
| 16 | 那領 五千 的隨即拿去 做買賣， 另外 賺了 五千。 | Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. |
| 17 | 那領 二千 的也照樣 另 賺了 二千。 | And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. |
| 18 | 但 那領 一千 的去 掘開 地， 把 主人的 銀子 埋藏了。 | But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. |
| 19 | 過了 許 久，那些 僕人的 主人 來了， 和 他們 算帳。 | After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. |
| 20 | 那領 五千 銀子 的又帶著 那另外的 五千 來，說：『主啊，你交給 我 五千 銀子。請看，我又 賺了 五千。』 | And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. |
| 21 | 主人 說：『好，你這又良善 又 忠心的 僕人，你在 不多的事 上有 忠心，我要把許多事 派 你 管理；可以進來 享受 你 主人 的快樂。』 | His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. |
| 22 | 那領二 千 的也 來，說：『主啊，你交給 我 二 千銀子。請看，我又 賺了 二 千。』 | He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. |
| 23 | 主人 說：『好，你這又良善 又 忠心的 僕人，你在 不多的事 上有 忠心，我要把許多事 派 你 管理；可以進來 享受 你 主人的 快樂。』 | His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. |
| 24 | 那領 一 千 的也 來，說：『主啊，我知道 你 是 忍心的 人，沒有 種 的地方 要收割， 沒有 散 的地方 要聚斂， | Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: |
| 25 | 我就 害怕，去 把你的 一千銀子 埋藏 在 地裡。請看，你的 原銀子在這裡。』 | And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. |
| 26 | 主人 回答 說：『你這又惡 又 懶的 僕人，你既知道 我沒有 種 的地方 要收割， 沒有 散 的地方 要聚斂， | His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: |
| 27 | 就 當 把我的 銀子 放給 兌換銀錢的人， 到我 來的時候，可以 連本 帶 利 收回。 | Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. |
| 28 | 奪過 他 這一千來， 給 那有 一萬的。 | Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. |
| 29 | 因為 凡 有的，還要加給他， 叫他有餘； 沒 有的，連 他所 有 的也要奪過來。 | For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. |
| 30 | 把這無用的 僕人 丟 在 外面 黑暗裡；在那裡 必要 哀哭 切 齒了。』」 | And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. |
| 31 | 「 當 人 子 在 他 榮耀裡、 同著 眾 天使 降臨的時候， 要坐 在 他 榮耀 的寶座上。 | When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: |
| 32 | 萬 民 都要聚集 在 他面前。 他要把他們 分別出來，好像 牧羊的 分別 綿羊 山羊一般， | And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: |
| 33 | 把綿羊 安置 在 右邊， 山羊 在 左邊。 | And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. |
| 34 | 於是 王 要向那 右邊 的說：『你們這蒙我 父 賜福的，可來 承受 那創世 以來 為你們 所預備 的國； | Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: |
| 35 | 因為 我餓了， 你們給 我 吃，渴了， 你們給我 喝；我作 客旅， 你們留我 住； | For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: |
| 36 | 我赤身露體， 你們給我 穿；我病了， 你們看顧 我；我 在 監裡， 你們來 看 我。』 | Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. |
| 37 | 義人 就 回答 說：『主啊，我們甚麼時候 見 你 餓了， 給你吃， 渴了， 給你喝？ | Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? |
| 38 | 甚麼時候 見 你 作客旅， 留你住，或是 赤身露體， 給你穿？ | When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? |
| 39 | 又 甚麼時候 見 你 病了，或是 在 監裡， 來 看 你呢？』 | Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? |
| 40 | 王 要回答 說：『我實在 告訴 你們，這些事 你們既做 在 我 這 弟兄 中一個 最小的身上，就是做 在我身上了。』 | And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. |
| 41 | 王又 要向那 左邊 的說：『你們這被咒詛的人，離開 我！進入 那為魔鬼 和 他的 使者 所預備 的永 火裡去！ | Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: |
| 42 | 因為 我餓了， 你們不 給 我 吃，渴了， 你們不 給我 喝； | For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: |
| 43 | 我作 客旅， 你們不 留我 住；我赤身露體， 你們不 給我 穿；我病了， 我在 監裡， 你們不 來看顧 我。』 | I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. |
| 44 | 他們 也 要回答 說：『主啊，我們甚麼時候 見 你 餓了，或 渴了，或 作客旅，或 赤身露體，或 病了，或 在 監裡， 不 伺候 你呢？』 | Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? |
| 45 | 王要回答 說：『我實在 告訴 你們，這些事 你們既不 做 在 我這 弟兄中一個 最小的身上，就是不 做 在我身上了。』 | Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. |
| 46 | 這些人 要往 永 刑 裡去； 那些義人 要往 永 生裡去。」 | And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. |
