| 1 | 過了 些日子，耶穌又 進了 迦百農。人聽見 他 在 房子裡， | And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. |
| 2 | 就 有許多人 聚集，甚至 連 門 前 都沒有 空地；耶穌就 對他們 講 道。 | And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. |
| 3 | 有人帶著 一個癱子 來 見 耶穌，是用 四個 人抬來的； | And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. |
| 4 | 因為 人多，不 得 近前，就把耶穌所在 的房子，拆了 房頂，既 拆通了，就把 癱子 連所躺臥的 褥子 都縋下來。 | And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. |
| 5 | 耶穌 見 他們的 信心，就對 癱子 說：「小子，你的 罪 赦了。」 | When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. |
| 6 | 有 幾個 文士 坐 在那裡， 心裡 議論，說： | But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, |
| 7 | 「這個人 為甚麼 這樣 說呢？他說僭妄的話了。除了 神以外，誰 能 赦 罪呢？」 | Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? |
| 8 | 耶穌 心中 知道 他們 心裡 這樣 議論，就說：「你們 心 裡 為甚麼 這樣 議論呢？ | And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? |
| 9 | 或對癱子 說『你的 罪 赦了』，或 說『起來！ 拿 你的 褥子 行走』；哪一樣 容易呢？ | Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? |
| 10 | 但 要叫 你們知道， 人 子 在 地上 有 赦 罪 的權柄。」就對癱子 說： | But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) |
| 11 | 「我吩咐 你，起來！拿 你的 褥子 回 家 去吧。」 | I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. |
| 12 | 那人就 起來，立刻 拿著 褥子， 當眾人 面前 出去了，以致 眾人 都驚奇， 歸榮耀與 神，說：「 我們從來沒有 見過 這樣的事！」 | And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. |
| 13 | 耶穌又 出到 海邊去， 眾人 都就了 他 來，他便 教訓 他們。 | And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them. |
| 14 | 耶穌經過的時候，看見 亞勒腓的 兒子利未 坐 在稅關 上，就 對他 說：「你跟從 我來。」他就 起來，跟從了 耶穌。 | And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alpheus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him. |
| 15 | 耶穌 在 利未 家 裡坐席的時候，有好些 稅吏 和 罪人 與耶穌 並 門徒 一同坐席；因為 這樣的人 多，他們也 跟隨 耶穌。 | And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. |

| 17 | 耶穌 聽見，就對他們 說：「康健的人 用不著 醫生，有 病的人 才用得著。我來 本不是 召 義人，乃是 召罪人。」 | When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. |
| 18 | 當下，約翰的 門徒 和 法利賽人 禁食。 他們來 問耶穌 說：「約翰的 門徒 和 法利賽人的 門徒 禁食，你的 門徒 倒 不 禁食，這是為甚麼呢？」 | And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not? |
| 19 | 耶穌 對他們 說：「 新郎 和陪伴之人 同 在的時候，陪伴之人 豈能 禁食呢？新郎 還 同 在，他們 不 能 禁食。 | And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast. |
| 20 | 但 日子 將到， 新郎 要離開 他們， 那 日 他們就要 禁食。 | But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. |
| 21 | 沒有人 把新 布 縫 在舊 衣服 上，恐怕 所補上的 新 布帶壞了 舊 衣服，破的 就 更大了。 | No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse. |
| 22 | 也 沒有人 把新 酒 裝 在 舊 皮袋裡，恐怕 酒 把皮袋 裂開， 酒 和 皮袋 就都壞了；惟 把新 酒 裝在 新 皮袋裡。」 | And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles. |
| 23 | 耶穌 當 安息日 從麥地 經過。 他 門徒 行 路的時候， 掐了 麥穗。 | And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn. |
| 24 | 法利賽人 對耶穌 說：「看哪，他們在安息日 為甚麼 做 不 可做的事呢？」 | And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? |
| 25 | 耶穌對他們 說：「經上記著大衛 和 跟從 他的 人缺乏 飢餓 之時 所做 的事，你們沒有 念過嗎？ | And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him? |
| 26 | 他當亞比亞他 作大祭司 的時候，怎麼 進了 神的 殿， 吃了 陳設 餅， 又 給 跟從 他的人吃。這 餅除了 祭司以外，人都不 可 吃。」 | How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him? |
| 27 | 又 對他們 說：「安息日 是為 人 設立的， 人 不是 為 安息日設立的。 | And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: |
| 28 | 所以，人 子 也 是 安息日的 主。」 | Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. |
