| 2 | 我勸 你們：無論 有 靈、 有 言語、 有 冒 我 名的書信， 說 主 的日子現在（現在：或譯就）到了，不 要輕易 動 心，也不要 驚慌。 | That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. |
| 3 | 人 不 拘用 甚麼 法子，你們 總不要被他誘惑；因為 那日子以前， 必有離道反教的事，並 有那大罪 人，就是沉淪 之子，顯露 出來。 | Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; |
| 4 | 他 是抵擋主， 高抬自己，超過 一切 稱為 神 的和 一切受人敬拜的，甚至 坐在 神 的殿 裡， 自 稱 是 神。 | Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. |

| 7 | 因為 那不法 的隱意 已經 發動，只是 現在 有一個攔阻的，等到 那攔阻的 被除 去， | For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. |
| 8 | 那時 這不法的 人必顯露出來。主 耶穌 要用口 中的氣 滅絕 他， 用 降臨 的榮光 廢掉他。 | And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: |
| 9 | 這不法的人 來，是 照 撒但 的運動，行 各樣的 異能、 神蹟，和 一切虛假 的奇事， | Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, |
| 10 | 並且 在 那沉淪 的人身上行各樣 出於不義 的詭詐；因 他們不 領受 愛 真理的心，使 他們 得救。 | And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. |
| 11 | 故 此， 神 就 給 他們 一個生發 錯誤的心，叫 他們 信從 虛謊， | And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: |
| 12 | 使 一切 不 信 真理、倒 喜愛 不義 的人 都被定罪。 | That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. |
| 13 | 主 所 愛的 弟兄們哪，我們 本 該 常 為 你們 感謝 神；因為 他 從起初 揀選了 你們，叫你們因 信 真道，又被 聖靈感動，成為聖潔，能以 得救。 | But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: |
| 14 | 神藉 我們 所 傳的福音 召 你們到這地步，好 得著 我們 主 耶穌 基督 的榮光。 | Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 15 | 所以，弟兄們，你們要站立得穩，凡所 領受的教訓，不拘 是我們 口 傳的，是 信上寫的，都要 堅守。 | Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. |
| 16 | 但願 我們 主 耶穌 基督 和 那 愛 我們、 開 恩 將永遠 的安慰 並 美好的 盼望 賜給 我們的 父 神， | Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, |
| 17 | 安慰 你們的 心，並且 在 一切 善 行 善言 上堅固你們。 | Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work. |
