1 城牆 修完，我安了 門扇，守門的、歌唱的，和利未人 都已派定。 Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
2 我就派 我的弟兄 哈拿尼 和 營樓 的宰官 哈拿尼雅 管理 耶路撒冷；因為 哈拿尼雅 是忠信的，又敬畏 神 過於眾人。 That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
3 我吩咐他們 說：「等到 太陽 上升 才可 開 耶路撒冷 的城門；人 尚 看守 的時候就要關 門 上閂；也當派 耶路撒冷 的居民 各 按班次 看守 自己 房屋 對面之處。」 And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.
4 城 是廣 大，其中 的民 卻稀少，房屋 還沒有 建造。 Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not builded.
5 我的 神 感動 我心，招聚 貴冑、 官長，和 百姓，要照家譜計算。我找著 第一次 上來 之人的家譜， 其上 寫著： And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,
6 巴比倫 王 尼布甲尼撒 從前擄去 猶大省 的人，現在他們的子孫從被擄 到之地 回 耶路撒冷 和猶大，各 歸本城。 These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;
7 他們是同著 所羅巴伯、耶書亞、尼希米、亞撒利雅、拉米、拿哈瑪尼、末底改、必珊、米斯毘列、比革瓦伊、尼宏、巴拿 回來的。 Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;
8 以色列 人 民 的數目記在下面：巴錄 的子孫 二 千 一百 七十 二名； The children of Parosh, two thousand an hundred seventy and two.
9 示法提雅 的子孫 三 百 七十 二名； The children of Shephatiah, three hundred seventy and two.
10 亞拉 的子孫 六 百 五十 二名； The children of Arah, six hundred fifty and two.
11 巴哈‧摩押 的後裔，就是耶書亞 和約押 的子孫 二千 八 百 一十 八名； The children of Pahath–moab, of the children of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand and eight hundred and eighteen.
12 以攔 的子孫 一千 二百 五十 四名； The children of Elam, a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
13 薩土 的子孫 八 百 四十 五名； The children of Zattu, eight hundred forty and five.
14 薩改 的子孫 七 百 六十名； The children of Zaccai, seven hundred and threescore.
15 賓內 的子孫 六 百 四十 八名； The children of Binnui, six hundred forty and eight.
16 比拜 的子孫 六 百 二十 八名； The children of Bebai, six hundred twenty and eight.
17 押甲 的子孫 二千 三 百 二十 二名； The children of Azgad, two thousand three hundred twenty and two.
18 亞多尼干 的子孫 六 百 六十 七名； The children of Adonikam, six hundred threescore and seven.
19 比革瓦伊 的子孫 二千 零六十 七名； The children of Bigvai, two thousand threescore and seven.
20 亞丁 的子孫 六 百 五十 五名； The children of Adin, six hundred fifty and five.
21 亞特 的後裔，就是希西家的 子孫九十 八名； The children of Ater of Hezekiah, ninety and eight.
22 哈順 的子孫 三 百 二十 八名； The children of Hashum, three hundred twenty and eight.
23 比賽 的子孫 三 百 二十 四名； The children of Bezai, three hundred twenty and four.

27 亞拿突 人 一百 二十 八名； The men of Anathoth, an hundred twenty and eight.
28 伯‧亞斯瑪弗 人 四十 二名； The men of Beth–azmaveth, forty and two.
29 基列‧耶琳 人、基非拉人、比錄 人共七 百 四十 三名； The men of Kirjath–jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth, seven hundred forty and three.
30 拉瑪 人 和迦巴 人共六 百 二十 一名； The men of Ramah and Geba, six hundred twenty and one.
31 默瑪 人 一百 二十 二名； The men of Michmas, an hundred and twenty and two.
32 伯特利 人 和艾 人共一百 二十 三名； The men of Beth–el and Ai, an hundred twenty and three.

39 祭司：耶書亞 家，耶大雅 的子孫 九 百 七十 三名； The priests: the children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy and three.
40 音麥 的子孫 一千 零五十 二名； The children of Immer, a thousand fifty and two.
41 巴施戶珥 的子孫 一千 二百 四十 七名； The children of Pashur, a thousand two hundred forty and seven.
42 哈琳 的子孫 一千 零一十 七名。 The children of Harim, a thousand and seventeen.
43 利未人：何達威 的後裔，就是耶書亞 和甲篾 的子孫 七十 四名。 The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, and of the children of Hodevah, seventy and four.
44 歌唱的：亞薩 的子孫 一百 四十 八名。 The singers: the children of Asaph, an hundred forty and eight.
45 守門的：沙龍 的子孫、亞特 的子孫、達們 的子孫、亞谷 的子孫、哈底大 的子孫、朔拜 的子孫，共一百 三十 八名。 The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, an hundred thirty and eight.
46 尼提寧（就是殿役）：西哈 的子孫、哈蘇巴 的子孫、答巴俄 的子孫、 The Nethinims: the children of Ziha, the children of Hashupha, the children of Tabbaoth,
47 基綠 的子孫、西亞 的子孫、巴頓 的子孫、 The children of Keros, the children of Sia, the children of Padon,
48 利巴拿 的子孫、哈迦巴 的子孫、薩買 的子孫、 The children of Lebana, the children of Hagaba, the children of Shalmai,
49 哈難 的子孫、吉德 的子孫、迦哈 的子孫、 The children of Hanan, the children of Giddel, the children of Gahar,

56 尼細亞 的子孫、哈提法 的子孫。 The children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.
57 所羅門 僕人 的後裔，就是瑣太 的子孫、瑣斐列 的子孫、比路大 的子孫、 The children of Solomon’s servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida,
58 雅拉 的子孫、達昆 的子孫、吉德 的子孫、 The children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
59 示法提雅 的子孫、哈替 的子孫、玻黑列‧哈斯巴音 的子孫、亞們 的子孫。 The children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth of Zebaim, the children of Amon.
60 尼提寧 和所羅門 僕人 的後裔 共三 百 九十 二名。 All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon’s servants, were three hundred ninety and two.
61 從特米拉、特哈薩、基綠、亞頓、音麥 上來的，不 能 指明 他們的宗 族 譜系 是 以色列人 不是； And these were they which went up also from Tel–melah, Tel–haresha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew their father’s house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.
62 他們是 第萊雅 的子孫、多比雅 的子孫、尼哥大 的子孫，共六 百 四十 二名。 The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
63 祭司中，哈巴雅 的子孫、哈哥斯 的子孫、巴西萊 的子孫；因為他們的先祖 娶了 基列人 巴西萊 的女兒 為妻，所以起 名 叫巴西萊。 And of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai, which took one of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite to wife, and was called after their name.
64 這 三家的人在族譜 之中尋查 自己的譜系，卻尋 不著，因此算為不潔，不准 供祭司的職任。 These sought their register among those that were reckoned by genealogy, but it was not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood.
65 省長 對他們 說：「 不可 吃 至聖的 物，直到 有用烏陵 和土明 決疑的祭司 興起來。」 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and Thummim.
66 會眾 共有 四 萬 二千 三 百 六十名。 The whole congregation together was forty and two thousand three hundred and threescore,
67 此外，還有 他們的僕 婢 七 千 三 百 三十 七名，又 有歌唱的男 女 二百 四十 五名。 Beside their manservants and their maidservants, of whom there were seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and they had two hundred forty and five singing men and singing women.
68 他們有馬 七 百 三十 六匹，騾子 二百 四十 五匹， Their horses, seven hundred thirty and six: their mules, two hundred forty and five:
69 駱駝 四 百 三十 五隻，驢 六 千 七 百 二十匹。 Their camels, four hundred thirty and five: six thousand seven hundred and twenty asses.
70 有些 族 長 為工程 捐助。省長 捐 入庫 中的金子 一千 達利克，碗 五十個，祭司 的禮服 五 百 三十件。 And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. The Tirshatha gave to the treasure a thousand drams of gold, fifty basons, five hundred and thirty priests’ garments.
71 又有族 長 捐入 工程 庫 的金子 二萬 達利克，銀子 二千 二百 彌拿。 And some of the chief of the fathers gave to the treasure of the work twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand and two hundred pound of silver.
72 其餘 百姓 所 捐的 金子 二萬 達利克，銀子 二千 彌拿，祭司 的禮服 六十 七件。 And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests’ garments.
73 於是祭司、利未人、守門的、歌唱的、民 中的一些人、尼提寧，並以色列 眾人，各住 在自己的城裡。 So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.
