| 1 | 弟兄們，我不 願意 你們 不曉得， 我們的 祖宗 從前都 在 雲 下， 都 從 海 中經過， | Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; |
| 2 | 都 在雲 裡、 海 裡 受洗 歸了 摩西； | And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; |
| 3 | 並且 都 吃了 一樣的 靈 食， | And did all eat the same spiritual meat; |
| 4 | 也 都 喝了 一樣的 靈 水。所 喝 的，是出於隨著 他們的靈 磐石；那 磐石 就是 基督。 | And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. |
| 5 | 但他們 中間 多半是 神 不 喜歡的人，所以 在 曠野 倒斃。 | But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. |
| 6 | 這些事 都是 我們的 鑑戒，叫 我們 不 要 貪戀惡 事，像 他們那樣 貪戀的； | Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. |
| 7 | 也不 要拜 偶像，像 他們 有人拜的。如 經上所記：「百姓 坐下 吃 喝， 起來 玩耍。」 | Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. |
| 8 | 我們也不 要行姦淫，像 他們 有人 行的， 一 天 就倒斃 了二萬三千人； | Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. |
| 9 | 也不 要試探主（有古卷：基督），像 他們 有人 試探的， 就被 蛇 所滅。 | Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. |
| 10 | 你們也不 要發怨言，像 他們 有發怨言 的，就 被 滅命的 所滅。 | Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. |
| 11 | 他們 遭遇 這些事 都要作為鑑戒，並且 寫在經上，正是 警戒 我們 這末 世 的人。 | Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. |
| 12 | 所以，自己以為 站得穩的，須要謹慎，免得 跌倒。 | Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. |
| 13 | 你們 所 遇見的試探，無非 是人 所能受的。 神 是 信實的， 必不 叫 你們 受試探 過於 所能 受的； 在 受試探的時候，總 要給你們開 一條出路，叫你們能 忍受得住。 | There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. |
| 14 | 我 所親愛的弟兄啊，你們要逃避 拜偶像的事。 | Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. |
| 15 | 我好像 對明白人 說的，你們 要審察 我的 話。 | I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say. |
| 16 | 我們所 祝福 的 杯，豈不 是 同領 基督 的血嗎？我們所 擘開 的餅，豈不 是 同領 基督 的身體嗎？ | The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? |
| 17 | 我們雖 多，仍是 一 個餅，一 個身體，因為 我們都 是分受 這一 個餅。 | For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. |
| 18 | 你們看 屬 肉體 的以色列人，那吃 祭物 的豈不 是 在祭壇 上有分嗎？ | Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? |
| 19 | 我是怎麼 說呢？ 豈是 說祭偶像 之物算得甚麼呢？或 說 偶像 算 得甚麼呢？ | What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing? |
| 20 | 我乃 是說，外邦人所獻的 祭 是祭 鬼， 不是祭 神。 我不 願意 你們 與鬼 相交。 | But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. |
| 21 | 你們不 能 喝 主 的杯 又 喝鬼 的杯，不 能 吃 主 的筵席 又 吃鬼 的筵席。 | Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. |
| 22 | 我們可惹 主的憤恨嗎？我們比 他 還有 能力嗎？ | Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? |
| 23 | 凡事 都可行，但 不 都 有益處。凡事 都可行，但 不 都 造就人。 | All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. |
| 24 | 無論何人，不要求 自己的益處，乃 要求別人的益處。 | Let no man seek his own, but every man another’s wealth. |
| 25 | 凡 市 上 所賣的，你們只管吃，不 要為良心 的緣故 問甚麼話， | Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake: |
| 26 | 因為 地 和 其中 所充滿 的都屬乎主。 | For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof. |
| 27 | 倘 有一個 不 信的人請 你們赴席， 你們若願意 去，凡 擺在你們 面前的，只管吃，不 要為良心 的緣故 問甚麼話。 | If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. |
| 28 | 若 有人 對你們 說：「這 是 獻過祭的物」，就 要為那告訴你們的人，並為 良心 的緣故 不 吃。 | But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof: |
| 29 | 我說 的良心 不 是你的， 乃 是他的。 我 這自由 為甚麼 被 別人 的良心 論斷呢？ | Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man’s conscience? |
| 30 | 我 若 謝恩 而吃，為甚麼 因 我 謝恩 的物 被人毀謗呢？ | For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? |
| 31 | 所以，你們或 吃 或 喝， 無論做 甚麼，都要 為 榮耀 神 而行。 | Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. |
| 32 | 不拘 是猶太人，是 希臘人，是 神 的教會，你們都不要使 他跌倒； | Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: |
| 33 | 就好像 我 凡事都叫眾 人 喜歡，不 求 自己 的益處，只 求眾人 的益處，叫 他們得救。 | Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. |
