| 1 | 以利户又说： | Elihu spake moreover, and said, |
| 2 | 你以为有理，或以为你的公义胜于 神的公义， | Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God’s? |
| 3 | 才说这与我有甚么益处？我不犯罪比犯罪有甚么好处呢？ | For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin? |
| 4 | 我要回答你和在你这里的朋友。 | I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee. |
| 5 | 你要向天观看，瞻望那高于你的穹苍。 | Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou. |
| 6 | 你若犯罪，能使 神受何害呢？你的过犯加增，能使 神受何损呢？ | If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him? |
| 7 | 你若是公义，还能加增他甚么呢？他从你手里还接受甚么呢？ | If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand? |
| 8 | 你的过恶或能害你这类的人；你的公义或能叫世人得益处。 | Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man. |
| 9 | 人因多受欺压就哀求，因受能者的辖制（原文是膀臂）便求救， | By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty. |
| 10 | 却无人说：造我的 神在哪里？他使人夜间歌唱， | But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night; |
| 11 | 教训我们胜于地上的走兽，使我们有聪明胜于空中的飞鸟。 | Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven? |
| 12 | 他们在那里，因恶人的骄傲呼求，却无人答应。 | There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men. |
| 13 | 虚妄的呼求， 神必不垂听；全能者也必不眷顾。 | Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it. |
| 14 | 何况你说，你不得见他；你的案件在他面前，你等候他吧。 | Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him. |
| 15 | 但如今因他未曾发怒降罚，也不甚理会狂傲， | But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity: |
| 16 | 所以约伯开口说虚妄的话，多发无知识的言语。 | Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge. |
