| 2 | 那时，王对先知拿单说：「看哪，我住在香柏木的宫中， 神的约柜反在幔子里。」 | That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains. |
| 3 | 拿单对王说：「你可以照你的心意而行，因为耶和华与你同在。」 | And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the Lord is with thee. |
| 4 | 当夜，耶和华的话临到拿单说： | And it came to pass that night, that the word of the Lord came unto Nathan, saying, |
| 5 | 「你去告诉我仆人大卫，说耶和华如此说：『你岂可建造殿宇给我居住呢？ | Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the Lord, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in? |
| 6 | 自从我领以色列人出埃及直到今日，我未曾住过殿宇，常在会幕和帐幕中行走。 | Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle. |
| 7 | 凡我同以色列人所走的地方，我何曾向以色列一支派的士师，就是我吩咐牧养我民以色列的说：你们为何不给我建造香柏木的殿宇呢？』 | In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar? |
| 8 | 「现在，你要告诉我仆人大卫，说万军之耶和华如此说：『我从羊圈中将你召来，叫你不再跟从羊群，立你作我民以色列的君。 | Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel: |
| 9 | 你无论往哪里去，我常与你同在，剪除你的一切仇敌。我必使你得大名，好像世上大大有名的人一样。 | And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth. |
| 10 | 我必为我民以色列选定一个地方，栽培他们，使他们住自己的地方，不再迁移；凶恶之子也不像从前扰害他们， | Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime, |

| 12 | 你寿数满足、与你列祖同睡的时候，我必使你的后裔接续你的位；我也必坚定他的国。 | And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. |
| 13 | 他必为我的名建造殿宇；我必坚定他的国位，直到永远。 | He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever. |
| 14 | 我要作他的父，他要作我的子；他若犯了罪，我必用人的杖责打他，用人的鞭责罚他。 | I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men: |
| 15 | 但我的慈爱仍不离开他，像离开在你面前所废弃的扫罗一样。 | But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. |
| 16 | 你的家和你的国必在我（原文是你）面前永远坚立。你的国位也必坚定，直到永远。』」 | And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever. |
| 17 | 拿单就按这一切话，照这默示，告诉大卫。 | According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David. |
| 18 | 于是大卫王进去，坐在耶和华面前，说：「主耶和华啊，我是谁？我的家算甚么？你竟使我到这地步呢？ | Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? |
| 19 | 主耶和华啊，这在你眼中还看为小，又应许你仆人的家至于久远。主耶和华啊，这岂是人所常遇的事吗？ | And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord God? |
| 20 | 主耶和华啊，我还有何言可以对你说呢？因为你知道你的仆人。 | And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy servant. |
| 21 | 你行这大事使仆人知道，是因你所应许的话，也是照你的心意。 | For thy word’s sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them. |
| 22 | 主耶和华啊，你本为大，照我们耳中听见，没有可比你的；除你以外再无 神。 | Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. |
| 23 | 世上有何民能比你的民以色列呢？你从埃及救赎他们作自己的子民，又在你赎出来的民面前行大而可畏的事，驱逐列邦人和他们的 神，显出你的大名。 | And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods? |
| 24 | 你曾坚立你的民以色列作你的子民，直到永远；你―耶和华也作了他们的 神。 | For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, Lord, art become their God. |
| 25 | 「耶和华 神啊，你所应许仆人和仆人家的话，求你坚定，直到永远；照你所说的而行。 | And now, O Lord God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said. |
| 26 | 愿人永远尊你的名为大，说：『万军之耶和华是治理以色列的 神。』这样，你仆人大卫的家必在你面前坚立。 | And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee. |
| 27 | 万军之耶和华―以色列的 神啊，因你启示你的仆人说：『我必为你建立家室』，所以仆人大胆向你如此祈祷。 | For thou, O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee. |
| 28 | 「主耶和华啊，惟有你是 神。你的话是真实的；你也应许将这福气赐给仆人。 | And now, O Lord God, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant: |
| 29 | 现在求你赐福与仆人的家，可以永存在你面前。主耶和华啊，这是你所应许的。愿你永远赐福与仆人的家！」 | Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever. |
