| 1 | И стах на песце морстем: и видех из моря зверя исходяща, имуща глав седмь и рогов десять, и на розех его венец десять, а на главах его имена хулна. | And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. |
| 2 | Зверь, егоже видех, бе подобен рыси, и нозе ему яко медведи, и уста его яко уста львова: и даде ему змий силу свою и престол свой и область великую. | And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. |
| 3 | И видех едину от глав его яко заколену в смерть, и язва смерти его изцеле. И чудися вся земля вслед зверя, и поклонишася змию, иже даде область зверю, | And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. |
| 4 | и поклонишася зверю, глаголюще: кто подобен зверю и кто может ратоватися с ним? | And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? |
| 5 | И дана быша ему уста глаголюща велика и хулна, и дана бысть ему область творити месяц четыредесять два. | And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. |
| 6 | И отверзе уста своя в хуление к Богу, хулити имя Его и селение Его и живущыя на небеси. | And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. |
| 7 | И дано бысть ему брань творити со святыми и победити я: и дана бысть ему область на всяцем колене (людий) и на языцех и племенех. | And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. |
| 8 | И поклонятся ему вси живущии на земли, имже не написана суть имена в книгах животных Агнца заколенаго от сложения мира. | And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. |
| 9 | Аще кто имать ухо, да слышит. | If any man have an ear, let him hear. |
| 10 | Иже аще в пленение ведет, в пленение пойдет: аще кто оружием убиет, подобает ему оружием убиену быти. Зде есть терпение и вера святых. | He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. |
| 11 | И видех инаго зверя восходящаго от земли, и имеяше рога два, подобна агнчым, и глаголаше яко змий. | And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. |
| 12 | И власть перваго зверя всю творяше пред ним: и творяше землю и вся живущыя на ней поклонитися первому зверю, емуже изцелена бысть язва смертная: | And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. |
| 13 | и сотвори чудеса велика, да и огнь сотворит сходити с небесе на землю пред человеки. | And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, |
| 14 | И льстит живущыя на земли, ради знамений, яже дана быша ему пред зверем творити, глаголя живущым на земли, сотворити образ зверю, иже имать язву оружную и жив бысть. | And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. |
| 15 | И дано бысть ему дати дух образу зверину, да проглаголет икона зверина и сотворит, да иже аще не поклонятся образу звериному, убиени будут. | And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. |
| 16 | И сотворит вся малыя и великия, богатыя и убогия, свободныя и работныя, да даст им начертание на десней руце их или на челех их, | And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: |
| 17 | да никтоже возможет ни купити, ни продати, токмо кто имать начертание, или имя зверя, или число имене его. | And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. |
| 18 | Зде мудрость есть. Иже имать ум, да почтет число зверино: число бо человеческо есть, и число его шесть сот шестьдесят шесть. | Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. |
