Hodočasnička pjesma. Kad Jahve vraćaše sužnjeve sionske, bilo nam je k'o da snivamo. | When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
Usta nam bjehu puna smijeha, a jezik klicanja. Među poganima tad se govorilo: "Velika im djela Jahve učini!" | Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.
Velika nam djela učini Jahve: opet smo radosni! | The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
Vrati, o Jahve, sužnjeve naše k'o potoke negepske! | Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.
Oni koji siju u suzama, žanju u pjesmi. | They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Išli su plačući noseći sjeme sjetveno: vraćat će se s pjesmom, noseći snoplje svoje. | He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
