| 1 | 是以清潔之兄弟、與天之召、宜思我儕所信奉之使者、大祭司耶穌、 | Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; |
| 2 | 彼忠於立己者、如摩西於上帝之家然、 | Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. |
| 3 | 其受榮逾於摩西、猶造家者之尊於家也、 | For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. |
| 4 | 蓋家必有造之者、惟造萬有者卽上帝也、 | For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. |
| 5 | 夫摩西如僕、忠於上帝家、以證後日將言之事、 | And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; |
| 6 | 但基督如子、以治其家、我儕若持守果毅、及所誇之望、鞏固至終、則爲其家人矣、 | But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. |
| 7 | 是故如聖神所云、爾曹今日若聞其言、 | Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, |
| 8 | 勿剛愎乃心、猶昔之激怒、卽試我於野之日、 | Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: |
| 9 | 爾之列祖、試我驗我、歷四十年、視我所爲、 | When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. |
| 10 | 故我不悅此代之人曰、其心常迷、不識我路、 | Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. |
| 11 | 我怒而誓曰、彼必不入我之安息也、 | So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) |
| 12 | 兄弟乎、爾宜愼、免爾中或懷不信之惡心、背維生之上帝、 | Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. |
| 13 | 乘有今日、宜日相勸勉、免爾中有因罪惡之詭謀、以致剛愎、 | But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. |
| 14 | 蓋我儕若持守初信、鞏固至終、則可與於基督矣、 | For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; |
| 15 | 故曰、爾曹今日若聞其言、勿剛愎乃心、猶昔激怒時也、 | While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. |
| 16 | 其聞而激怒者誰耶、非從摩西出埃及之衆乎、 | For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. |
| 17 | 又四十年彼所不悅者誰耶、非干罪而屍仆於野者乎、 | But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? |
| 18 | 又誓之不得入其安息者誰耶、非不順從者乎、 | And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? |
| 19 | 由是觀之、彼不得入、不信故也、 | So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. |
