| 1 | 耶和華諭摩西曰、我再降一災於法老與埃及、然後彼乃釋汝去此、釋時、促爾出境、 | And the Lord said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether. |
| 2 | 當語庶民、使諸男女、索金飾銀飾於其鄰、 | Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold. |
| 3 | 耶和華使民沾恩於埃及人、摩西在埃及、於法老臣民前、極其尊大、○ | And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people. |
| 4 | 摩西謂法老曰、耶和華云、約至中夜、我將巡行埃及、 | And Moses said, Thus saith the Lord, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt: |
| 5 | 自居位之法老、迄旋磨之婢女、凡其長子、及羣畜首生者、必皆死亡、 | And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts. |
| 6 | 埃及通國、必大號哭、先世後世、無若是者、 | And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more. |
| 7 | 至以色列族、或人或畜、無犬敢鼓舌以吠之、俾爾知埃及人與以色列人、爲耶和華所區別、 | But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel. |
| 8 | 爾之羣臣必下詣我、俯伏我前、曰、爾其與從爾之衆出境、然後我乃出焉、摩西盛怒而退、○ | And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger. |
| 9 | 耶和華諭摩西曰、法老必不聽爾、致增我之異蹟於埃及地、 | And the Lord said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt. |
| 10 | 摩西亞倫行此異蹟於法老前、而耶和華使之剛愎厥心、不釋以色列人出其境、 | And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land. |
