| 1 | 願爾闢天而臨格、使山震動於爾前、 | Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, |
| 2 | 猶火焚薪、使水騰沸、致敵知爾名、列邦戰慄於爾前、 | As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! |
| 3 | 昔爾行可畏之事、出我意外、其時臨格自天、山嶽震動於爾前、 | When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence. |
| 4 | 自古以來、世人未聞、耳未聆、目未覩、爾外未有何神、爲望之者有所爲也、 | For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. |
| 5 | 樂於行義、恆念爾道者、爾迎接之、惟我干罪、致爾震怒、如是已久、尚能得救乎、 | Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved. |
| 6 | 我儕咸如不潔之人、所有之義、乃若汚衊之衣、我皆枯槁如葉、被罪驅逐、如風飄颻、 | But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. |
| 7 | 呼籲爾名、黽勉恃爾、無其人也、爾掩面弗顧、以我罪戾、使我消亡、 | And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. |
| 8 | 耶和華歟、爾乃我父、我乃泥塗、爾爲陶人、我皆爾手所造、 | But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. |
| 9 | 耶和華歟、毋嚴加忿怒、毋恆念愆尤、我皆爾民、求爾垂顧、 | Be not wroth very sore, O Lord, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people. |
| 10 | 爾之聖邑、盡成荒野、錫安荒蕪、耶路撒冷邱墟、 | Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation. |
| 11 | 我儕聖而且美之室、我祖頌爾之處、經火焚燬、我之樂土、悉變荒蕪、 | Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste. |
| 12 | 耶和華歟、勢旣如此、爾猶容忍乎、爾仍默然、重苦我儕乎、 | Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O Lord? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore? |
