| 1 | 當書達撒狄會之使者云、有上帝之七神、及七星者曰、我知爾諸行、名生而實死、 | And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. |
| 2 | 爾宜儆醒、堅定其餘將及於死之事、蓋我未見爾之諸行、有所完全於我上帝前也、 | Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. |
| 3 | 故宜追念所受所聞如何、且守之而改悔、倘不儆醒、我將至如盜然、爾不知我何時而至也、 | Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. |
| 4 | 然爾曹在撒狄者、尚有數人未汚其衣、彼將衣白偕我遊、蓋其所堪也、 | Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. |
| 5 | 獲勝者亦將如是衣白衣、我必不塗其名於維生之册、而認之於我父及諸使者前、 | He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. |
| 6 | 有耳者、宜聽聖神所語諸會者、○ | He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. |
| 7 | 當書達非拉鐵非會之使者云、維聖維誠、持大衞之鑰、開則無能闔之、闔則無能開之者曰、 | And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; |
| 8 | 我知爾諸行、爾有微能、已守我道、未棄我名、我於爾前、賜以旣開之門、無能闔者、 | I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. |
| 9 | 撒但之黨、自謂猶太人、而非然者、乃誑耳、我必使之來拜於爾足前、而知我已愛爾焉、 | Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. |
| 10 | 爾旣堅忍守我之道、我亦將守爾、免乎受試之時、此時將臨於寰宇、以試凡宅於地之人、 | Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. |
| 11 | 我速至矣、爾所有者、宜持守之、免有奪爾冕者、 | Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. |
| 12 | 獲勝者、我將使之爲柱、於我上帝殿中、決不復出、亦必以我上帝之名、及我上帝邑新耶路撒冷之名、乃自天由我上帝而降者、並我之新名、皆書於其上、 | Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. |

| 14 | 當書達老底嘉會之使者云、爲阿們、忠信誠實之證、上帝創造之始者曰、 | And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; |
| 15 | 我知爾諸行、乃不寒不熱、我願爾或寒或熱、 | I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. |
| 16 | 爾旣爲温、不熱不寒、我必吐爾出於我口、 | So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. |
| 17 | 蓋爾云、我富矣、已獲富有、而無所需矣、不知爾乃困苦、堪悲、貧乏、瞽目、裸體、 | Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: |
| 18 | 我爲爾謀、宜向我市火煉之金、致得富、市白衣可自衣、致爾裸體之羞不露、市目膏以膏爾目、致得見、 | I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. |
| 19 | 凡我所愛者、我責而懲之、故宜奮然改悔、 | As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. |
| 20 | 我立於門而叩、有聞我聲而啟者、我必入就之、偕彼而餐、彼亦偕我焉、 | Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. |
| 21 | 獲勝者、我將使之偕坐於我座、如我獲勝、而偕我父坐於其座也、 | To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. |
