| 1 | 耶和華諭我曰、雖摩西撒母耳立於我前、我心不眷顧斯民、其逐之離我前、而使之出、 | Then said the Lord unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth. |
| 2 | 如彼詢爾曰、我當何往、則告之曰、耶和華云、當死者就死、當刃者就刃、當饑者就饑、當虜者就虜、 | And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the Lord; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity. |
| 3 | 耶和華曰、我定四者加之、刃以戮之、犬以裂之、飛鳥野獸噬而滅之、 | And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the Lord: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. |
| 4 | 我必因猶大王希西家子瑪拿西、所行於耶路撒冷之事、播棄之於天下萬國、 | And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem. |
| 5 | 耶路撒冷歟、孰矜恤爾、孰爲爾哀、孰轉而問爾安、 | For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest? |
| 6 | 耶和華曰、爾旣棄我、背我而往、故我舉手、攻爾滅爾、我之回意、屢而憊矣、 | Thou hast forsaken me, saith the Lord, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting. |
| 7 | 我於斯土諸邑之門、簸之以箕、喪其子女、毀滅我民、惟彼仍不轉離其途、 | And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people, since they return not from their ways. |
| 8 | 其嫠婦多於海沙、殘賊者日中而至、攻其少者之母、悽楚恐惶、倏然及之、 | Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city. |
| 9 | 生七子之婦、身疲氣斷、尚在白晝、其日沒矣、彼乃含羞抱愧、所遺之民、我將於敵前、付之於刃、耶和華言之矣、○ | She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the Lord. |
| 10 | 我母歟、禍哉我也、爾之生我、爲全地喜爭好競之人、我未貸金於人、人亦未貸金於我、然彼皆詛我、 | Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me. |
| 11 | 耶和華曰、我必釋爾、使爾獲福、爾敵遇禍遭難時、必求於爾、○ | The Lord said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction. |
| 12 | 北方之鐵與銅、人能折之乎、 | Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel? |
| 13 | 因爾罪惡、我必於爾四境、使爾貨財寶物被掠、不給以值、 | Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders. |
| 14 | 我必使爾服役於敵、至所未識之地、蓋我怒如烈火、將燃及爾衆、○ | And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you. |
| 15 | 耶和華歟、爾悉之矣、願爾記憶我、眷顧我、報復於窘我者、勿以恆忍、俾我滅亡、我爲爾故、旣受謗凟、爾其知之、 | O Lord, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. |
| 16 | 萬軍之上帝耶和華歟、我乃稱以爾名、我得爾言以爲飲食、斯言在於我心、爲我之歡欣喜樂、 | Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. |
| 17 | 歡娛之會、我未同坐、亦未偕樂、爲爾之手、我乃獨坐、蓋爾充我以怒也、 | I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation. |
| 18 | 我之痛苦、奚久不已、我之創傷、何爲不瘳、爾之於我、果如無常之溪、無水之井乎、○ | Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail? |
| 19 | 耶和華曰、爾若歸誠、我必導爾復立我前、爾若取貴者於劣者中、則可爲我口、民必歸爾、爾勿歸彼、 | Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them. |
| 20 | 我將使爾於斯民、爲鞏固之銅垣、彼必攻爾而不勝、蓋我與爾偕、以拯爾也、耶和華言之矣、 | And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord. |
| 21 | 我必拯爾於惡者之手、贖爾於暴者之手、 | And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible. |
