1 瑪拿西卽位時、年十有二、在耶路撒冷爲王、歷五十五年、其母名協西巴、 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzi–bah.
2 瑪拿西行耶和華所惡、效異邦可憎之事、卽耶和華於以色列人前、所逐諸族之事、 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel.
3 復建其父希西家所毀之崇邱、爲巴力建壇、作木偶、效以色列王亞哈所爲、又崇拜天象、而奉事之、 For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.
4 在耶和華室建壇、昔耶和華指此室而言曰、我必寄我名於耶路撒冷、 And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
5 又在耶和華室二院中、爲天象建壇、 And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the Lord.
6 並使其子經火、用卜筮、行邪術、與憑鬼者及巫覡交、多行耶和華所惡、以激其怒、 And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
7 又於耶和華室、置所造之亞舍拉雕像、昔耶和華諭大衞、及其子所羅門曰、此室與耶路撒冷、乃我於以色列支派中所簡者、必永寄我名於其中、 And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the Lord said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
8 如以色列人謹守遵行我命、及我僕摩西所命之法律、則我不復使之流離、去我賜其列祖之地、 Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.
9 惟彼不聽、瑪拿西又誘之、致其作惡、較耶和華在以色列人前、所滅之族尤甚、 But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the Lord destroyed before the children of Israel.
10 耶和華藉其僕諸先知曰、 And the Lord spake by his servants the prophets, saying,
11 因猶大王瑪拿西行此可憎之事、較亞摩利人作惡尤甚、使猶大人因其偶像而陷於罪、 Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:
12 故以色列之上帝耶和華云、我必降禍於耶路撒冷及猶大、使凡聞之者、兩耳必震、 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.
13 我將以量撒瑪利亞之繩、平亞哈家之準、施於耶路撒冷、且拭耶路撒冷、如人拭盂而覆之、 And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down.
14 亦必棄我遺民、付於敵手、使爲敵人虜掠刼奪、 And I will forsake the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies;
15 因其行我所惡、激我之怒、自其列祖出埃及、以迄於今、○ Because they have done that which was evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
16 瑪拿西行耶和華所惡、陷猶大人於罪、此外、又多流無辜之血、遍滿耶路撒冷四境、 Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the Lord.
17 瑪拿西其餘事蹟、凡其所行、及其所犯之罪、俱載於猶大列王紀、 Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
18 瑪拿西與列祖偕眠、葬於己宮之園、卽烏撒園、子亞們嗣位、○ And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his stead.
19 亞們卽位時、年二十有二、在耶路撒冷爲王、凡歷二年、其母名米舒利密、約提巴人哈魯斯女也、 Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.
20 亞們行耶和華所惡、如其父瑪拿西所爲、 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his father Manasseh did.
21 循其父所行之道、事其父所事之偶像、而崇拜之、 And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them:
22 離棄其列祖之上帝耶和華、不遵行耶和華之道、 And he forsook the Lord God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the Lord.
23 亞們之臣謀叛、弒之於其宮、 And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house.
24 國人盡殺凡叛亞們王者、立其子約西亞繼之爲王、 And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
25 亞們其餘所行之事、俱載於猶大列王紀、 Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
26 亞們葬於己墓、在烏撒園、子約西亞嗣位、 And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.
