| 1 | 耶和華諭我曰、 | And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, |
| 2 | 人子歟、爾其面耶路撒冷、向聖所發言、對以色列地而預言、 | Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel, |
| 3 | 告以色列地云、耶和華曰、我爲爾敵、必拔刃出鞘、義者惡者、絕於爾中、 | And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked. |
| 4 | 旣欲絕義者惡者於爾中、我刃必出於鞘、擊凡有血氣者、自南至北、 | Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north: |
| 5 | 凡有血氣者、必知我耶和華拔刃出鞘、不復韜之、 | That all flesh may know that I the Lord have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more. |
| 6 | 人子歟、爾其太息、腰斷痛苦而欷歔、令人目覩、 | Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes. |
| 7 | 如彼問爾何爲太息、必曰、因聞音耗、其事將至、使衆心怯、手疲志餒、膝弱如水、其事將至、其言必成、主耶和華言之矣、○ | And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord God. |

| 9 | 人子歟、當預言曰、耶和華云、有刃有刃、旣利且光、 | Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the Lord; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished: |
| 10 | 其利便於行戮、磨光使若閃電、我儕其可喜樂乎、我子之杖、輕藐諸木、 | It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, as every tree. |
| 11 | 磨礪使光、以便執用、旣利且光、付於殺戮者之手、 | And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer. |
| 12 | 人子歟、爾其呼喊號咷、因刃加於我民、擊以色列牧伯、彼及我民、咸付於刃、故當拊髀、 | Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh. |
| 13 | 主耶和華曰、有試鍊焉、輕藐之杖、如歸烏有、將若之何、 | Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord God. |
| 14 | 人子歟、爾其預言而鼓掌、使刃再三行戮、此刃卽重傷大人、入諸密室者、 | Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers. |
| 15 | 我備怖人之刃、攻諸邑門、使衆心怯、增其窒礙、噫嘻、刃若閃電、其利便於行戮、 | I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter. |
| 16 | 爾其集合向右、列陳向左、隨爾所向、 | Go thee one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set. |
| 17 | 我亦鼓掌、以息我怒、我耶和華言之矣、○ | I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the Lord have said it. |
| 18 | 耶和華諭我曰、 | The word of the Lord came unto me again, saying, |
| 19 | 惟爾人子、當繪二途、使巴比倫王之刃由之而至、二途出於一地、又繪一手、置於向邑歧路之處、 | Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city. |
| 20 | 所繪之途、一使刃至亞捫族之拉巴、一使刃至猶大之耶路撒冷堅城、 | Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced. |
| 21 | 蓋巴比倫王、止於歧路卜之、搖以矢、問偶像、察牲肝、 | For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver. |
| 22 | 右手得取耶路撒冷之兆、使設鎚以擊之、厥口孔張、大聲號呼、可行殺戮、發鎚攻門、築壘建臺、 | At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort. |
| 23 | 惟有約誓者、以所卜爲僞、然巴比倫王必使其罪見憶、致虜其衆、○ | And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken. |
| 24 | 主耶和華曰、因爾使罪見憶、愆尤昭彰、諸行顯爾之惡、爾旣見憶、必爲其手所獲、 | Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand. |
| 25 | 行惡重傷之以色列君乎、爾日屆矣、罰罪之期至矣、 | And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end, |
| 26 | 主耶和華曰、去其冕、脫其冠、諸事變易、卑者升之、高者降之、 | Thus saith the Lord God; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. |
| 27 | 我必傾覆之、至再至三、所有者歸於無有、俟當得者至、則賜之焉、○ | I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. |
| 28 | 惟爾人子、當預言云、主耶和華論亞捫人、及其侮辱之言曰、有刃出鞘、磨光殺戮、猶如閃電、以行吞滅、 | And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering: |
| 29 | 維時、卜者所見虛僞、爲爾所占妄誕、使爾仆於重傷惡人之項、彼日屆矣、罰罪之期至矣、 | Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end. |
| 30 | 爾其收刃入鞘、我必於爾受造之處、生長之地鞫爾、 | Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity. |
| 31 | 傾我怒於爾、以我發忿之火吹及爾躬、付爾於殘忍善殺戮者之手、 | And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy. |
| 32 | 爾爲燃火之薪、爾血流於斯土、爾必不復見憶、我耶和華言之矣、 | Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the Lord have spoken it. |
