| 1 | 耶和華諭我曰、 | Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, |
| 2 | 人子歟、當使耶路撒冷知其可惡之事、 | Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations, |
| 3 | 曰、主耶和華對耶路撒冷云、爾之根原、爾之誕育、乃在迦南族地、亞摩利人爲爾父、赫人爲爾母、 | And say, Thus saith the Lord God unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite. |
| 4 | 論爾誕育、生之日、爾臍未斷、爾身未洗以水而潔之、未敷以鹽、未裹以布、 | And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all. |
| 5 | 無人目顧爾、爲爾行此矜憫爾、爾生之日、爲人所惡、被棄於野、 | None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born. |
| 6 | 我過時、見爾轉側於爾血、謂爾曰、雖在血中、而可得生、再曰、雖在血中、而可得生、 | And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live. |
| 7 | 我使爾長、若田所產、漸卽長大、而獲美容、乳顯髮長、惟赤身而露體、 | I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare. |
| 8 | 我過而見爾時、乃相愛之際、則以衣襟覆爾、蔽爾裸體、與爾誓約、爾則歸我、主耶和華言之矣、 | Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine. |
| 9 | 我洗爾以水、盡滌爾血、沐爾以膏、 | Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil. |
| 10 | 衣爾以錦繡、履爾以獺皮、束爾以細枲、被爾以幣帛、 | I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers’ skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk. |
| 11 | 以飾妝爾、著釧於手、垂鏈於項、 | I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck. |
| 12 | 置環於鼻、懸珥於耳、戴華冕於首、 | And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head. |
| 13 | 如是、爾以金銀爲飾、以細枲幣帛錦繡爲衣、以細麪蜜油爲食、遂成豔麗、利達致得后位、 | Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom. |
| 14 | 我以我之炫耀錫爾、俾爾豔麗完備、名譽揚於列邦、主耶和華言之矣、○ | And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God. |
| 15 | 惟爾恃己豔麗、名譽洋溢、遂縱淫欲、過者則與行淫、爲其所有、 | But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was. |
| 16 | 且以爾衣、五彩俱備、飾諸崇邱、行淫其上、若此之事、古今所不宜有、 | And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so. |
| 17 | 亦取我所賜爾之金銀美飾、以製人像、與之行淫、 | Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them, |
| 18 | 以爾繡衣覆之、以我之膏及香、陳於其前、 | And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them. |
| 19 | 以我賜爾之餅、養生之細麪、及油與蜜、陳於其前、以爲馨香、誠有斯事、主耶和華言之矣、 | My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord God. |
| 20 | 又取爲我而生之子女、獻之於彼、俾其吞噬、 | Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter, |
| 21 | 爾之行淫、豈爲細故、致殺我子女、付於偶像、使之經火乎、 | That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them? |
| 22 | 爾行狥欲可惡之事、不憶幼時、赤身露體、轉側於己血、 | And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood. |
| 23 | 主耶和華曰、禍哉爾也、爾行諸惡之後、 | And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord God;) |
| 24 | 復爲己作穹廬、在各街築高臺、 | That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street. |
| 25 | 爾在各街建爾高臺、俾爾豔麗爲可惡、接彼行人、益爾淫亂、 | Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms. |
| 26 | 爾鄰埃及人、縱形軀之欲、爾與之私、益爾淫亂、激我震怒、 | Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger. |
| 27 | 故我伸手爾上、滅爾糈糧、付爾於敵、卽羞爾淫行之非利士女、任意以待、 | Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way. |
| 28 | 爾行淫無度、與亞述人私、縱欲無厭、 | Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied. |
| 29 | 爾在商賈之地迦勒底、益爾淫亂、猶不知足、 | Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith. |
| 30 | 主耶和華曰、爾行此事、乃無恥之淫婦所爲、爾心何其荏弱哉、 | How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord God, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman; |
| 31 | 爾在各衢作穹廬、在各街築高臺、爾之異乎妓者、輕視其值也、 | In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire; |
| 32 | 爲婦而行淫乎、背夫而私人乎、 | But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband! |
| 33 | 人以物贈妓、惟爾以物贈情人、賄之四集、與爾行淫、 | They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom. |
| 34 | 爾行淫之異乎他婦者、非人從爾行淫也、且爾以金予人、非人以金予爾、是亦相異也、○ | And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary. |
| 35 | 爾爲娼妓者歟、宜聽耶和華言、 | Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the Lord: |
| 36 | 主耶和華曰、因爾與爾情人行淫、洩爾汚穢、顯爾裸裎、且事可惡之偶像、爲彼獻爾子女之血、 | Thus saith the Lord God; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them; |
| 37 | 我必集爾情人、卽爾所歡者、凡爾所愛所憎者、我自四方集之、必裸爾體、俾衆目覩、 | Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness. |
| 38 | 我必鞫爾、如鞫背夫流血之婦、以震怒忌嫉所流之血、加於爾身、 | And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy. |
| 39 | 我將付爾於敵手、摧爾穹廬、毀爾高臺、褫爾衣服、奪爾美飾、遺爾赤身露體、 | And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare. |
| 40 | 集衆攻爾、擊爾以石、刺爾以刃、 | They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords. |
| 41 | 焚爾第宅、行鞫於爾、衆女目覩、使爾不復爲淫婦、不復以金予人、 | And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more. |
| 42 | 如是、我怒乃息、我嫉離爾、我則寧靖、不復憤怒、 | So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry. |
| 43 | 主耶和華曰、因爾不憶幼時、諸事激我震怒、我必依爾所行、報於爾首、使爾不復行淫、益爾可憎之事、○ | Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord God: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations. |
| 44 | 凡用諺者、必以諺指爾曰、其母若何、女亦如之、 | Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter. |
| 45 | 爾母厭夫及子、爾爲其女、爾姊厭夫及子、爾爲其妹、爾母爲赫人、爾父爲亞摩利人、 | Thou art thy mother’s daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite. |
| 46 | 爾姊撒瑪利亞、及其衆女、居於爾左、爾妹所多瑪、及其衆女、居於爾右、 | And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters. |
| 47 | 爾未從其道、行彼可惡之事、而以此爲細故、於爾所行之途、較之尤惡、 | Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways. |
| 48 | 主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、爾妹所多瑪、及其衆女、未行爾曁衆女所行、 | As I live, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. |
| 49 | 爾妹所多瑪、與其衆女之罪、乃驕傲、飽食、安居、亦不濟助貧乏、 | Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. |
| 50 | 且亦驕泰、行可惡之事於我前、我見此、則袪之、 | And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good. |
| 51 | 撒瑪利亞所犯之罪、未及爾之半、爾增可惡之事、較彼尤多、致爾姊妹、猶顯爲義、 | Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done. |
| 52 | 爾論爾之姊妹、適自取辱、蓋爾所犯之罪、較彼尤爲可惡、則彼猶義於爾、旣使爾姊妹稱爲義、爾當含羞抱愧、 | Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters. |
| 53 | 我必返所多瑪與其衆女之俘囚、及撒瑪利亞與其衆女之俘囚、亦返其中爾之俘囚、 | When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them: |
| 54 | 俾爾負辱抱愧、以爾所行、使之得慰、 | That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them. |
| 55 | 爾妹所多瑪、與其衆女、必復其初、爾姊撒瑪利亞、及其衆女、必復其初、爾與衆女、亦復其初、 | When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate. |
| 56 | 當爾驕泰之日、口不道爾妹所多瑪、 | For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride, |
| 57 | 其時爾惡未彰、亞蘭諸女、及四周非利士諸女、猶未輕視爾、 | Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about. |
| 58 | 耶和華曰、爾行邪淫可惡之事、必負其罪、 | Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the Lord. |
| 59 | 主耶和華曰、爾藐誓爽約、我必依爾所行以報爾、 | For thus saith the Lord God; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant. |
| 60 | 然爾幼時、我與爾立約、我追憶之、必復與爾立永約、 | Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant. |
| 61 | 爾納爾姊妹時、將追憶爾之素行、而覺愧怍、我必以之賜爾爲女、惟不循前約、 | Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant. |
| 62 | 我必與爾立約、爾則知我乃耶和華、 | And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord: |
| 63 | 迨我宥爾所行、因爾之辱、必自追憶、慚怍不已、不復啟口、主耶和華言之矣、 | That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord God. |
