1 上帝僕摩西、於未死之先、爲以色列人祝嘏、 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
2 曰、耶和華至自西乃、起自西珥、著自巴蘭、來自萬聖、法律出其右手、勢如烈火、 And he said, The Lord came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
3 彼眷愛斯民、衆聖在其手中、坐其足下、領受其言、 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
4 摩西命以法律、爲雅各會衆之恆業、 Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.
5 彼於耶書崙爲王、民之族長咸集、以色列支派皆就之、○ And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.
6 願流便生存不死、惟人數維寡、○ Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.
7 論猶大則曰、耶和華歟、俯聽猶大之呼籲、導歸故族、彼以手爲己搏戰、爾必助之攻敵、○ And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, Lord, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.
8 論利未則曰、耶和華歟、爾之土明烏陵、與爾聖者偕、爾於瑪撒試之、於米利巴水與之爭、 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;
9 言及父母、彼曰我未見之、不認兄弟、不識子女、乃因遵行爾命、謹守爾約、 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
10 彼將以爾律例教雅各、以爾法律誨以色列、焚香於爾前、獻全牲燔祭於爾壇、 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.
11 耶和華歟、錫嘏其財物、悅納其所爲、洞穿其敵、及憾之者之腰、使不復起、○ Bless, Lord, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
12 論便雅憫則曰、耶和華所眷愛者、將安居其側、耶和華終日庇護之、使處兩肩之間、○ And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.
13 論約瑟則曰、願耶和華錫嘏其地、賜以天上之寶、空際之露、地中之泉、 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the Lord be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,
14 日所生之果、月所產之寶、 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
15 古山之上品、恆嶽之嘉物、 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,
16 地與其中所韞之珍奇、及居荊棘中者之恩惠、願悉歸於約瑟之首、臨於冠兄弟者之頂、 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
17 彼如牛之首生、有威可畏、其角如兕角、將抵觸異邦、至於地極、以法蓮之萬萬、瑪拿西之千千是也、○ His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
18 論西布倫則曰、西布倫歟、爾出外可歡欣、以薩迦歟、爾居幕可喜樂、 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.
19 必召萬民登山、奉獻義祭、因其必享海中之豐裕、沙中之珍藏、○ They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
20 論迦得則曰、恢廓迦得者、宜頌美焉、迦得伏如牝獅、斷傷人之首臂、 And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.
21 彼先選得其業、乃爲立律者所遺留、遂偕族長而來、行耶和華之公義、及其與以色列所立之律例、○ And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the Lord, and his judgments with Israel.
22 論但則曰、但乃稚獅、踴躍出於巴珊、○ And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion’s whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.
23 論拿弗他利則曰、拿弗他利歟、沾恩旣足、受福且盈、由耶和華所賜、西方南方、爾其據以爲業、○ And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the Lord: possess thou the west and the south.
24 論亞設則曰、願亞設因多子而獲福、爲兄弟所悅納、浸足於油、 And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
25 爾之楗乃鐵乃銅、爾之力隨日所需、○ Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.
26 耶書崙歟、無有若上帝者、乘雲而行、赫赫於天、惟爾是輔、 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
27 永生上帝、爲爾居所、恆久之臂、惟爾是扶、逐敵於爾前、命爾殄滅之、 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
28 以色列族、居處綏安、雅各之源、獨在產穀與酒之地、天滴甘露、 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
29 以色列歟、爾有福祉、何民若爾、爲耶和華所拯、彼乃護爾之干、榮爾之刃、敵必屈伏於爾、爾將履其崇邱、 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the Lord, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
