| 1 | 我所陳於爾前之祝與詛、旣已臨爾、於爾上帝耶和華逐爾而至之邦、追憶此事、 | And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee, |
| 2 | 與爾子孫、一心一意歸爾上帝耶和華、遵從其言、循我今日所諭爾者、 | And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul; |
| 3 | 則爾上帝耶和華將矜恤爾、返爾俘囚、自散爾而至之列邦集爾、 | That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee. |
| 4 | 爾見逐者至於天涯、爾上帝耶和華必由彼集爾、攜之而歸、 | If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee: |
| 5 | 爾祖所據之地、爾上帝耶和華必導爾入而得之、降福於爾、俾爾昌熾、較祖尤衆、 | And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers. |
| 6 | 爾上帝耶和華必制爾情欲、爰及子孫、使一心一意愛爾上帝耶和華、致得生存、 | And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live. |
| 7 | 爾上帝耶和華、必以是詛、加諸爾敵、及憾爾迫爾者、 | And the Lord thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee. |
| 8 | 爾將旋歸、聽從耶和華之言、遵行其誡、我今日所諭爾者、 | And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day. |
| 9 | 爾若聽從爾上帝耶和華之言、守此律書所載之誡命典章、一心一意歸爾上帝耶和華、則爾上帝耶和華必於凡爾所爲、錫以福祉、身之所生、畜之所出、土之所產、盡皆蕃衍、耶和華心復悅爾、錫以福祉、如昔悅爾祖然、 | And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers: |
| 10 | 爾若聽從爾上帝耶和華之言、守此律書所載之誡命典章、一心一意歸爾上帝耶和華、則爾上帝耶和華必於凡爾所爲、錫以福祉、身之所生、畜之所出、土之所產、盡皆蕃衍、耶和華心復悅爾、錫以福祉、如昔悅爾祖然、 | If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. |
| 11 | 我今諭爾之誡、行之非難、離爾非遠、 | For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. |
| 12 | 不在天上、致爾自謂、誰升天攜之以至、使我聞而行之、 | It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? |
| 13 | 不在海外、致爾自謂、誰濟海攜之以至、使我聞而行之、 | Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? |
| 14 | 斯道密邇乎爾、在爾口、在爾心、俾爾行之、○ | But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. |
| 15 | 我今日以生與福、死與禍、陳於爾前、 | See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; |
| 16 | 諭爾愛爾上帝耶和華、遵行其道、守其誡命、典章律例、致得生存昌熾、爾上帝耶和華於爾所入而據之地、錫爾以嘏、 | In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. |
| 17 | 如爾中心違離、不欲聽從、爲人所誘、崇事他神、 | But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; |
| 18 | 我今告爾、爾必滅亡、於渡約但而得之地、不得延年、 | I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. |
| 19 | 我今呼籲天地爲證、以生死祝詛、陳於爾前、爾其選生、俾爾及爾子孫、得以生存、 | I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: |
| 20 | 且愛爾上帝耶和華、聽從其言、而依附之、蓋耶和華爲爾生命、及爾延年之由、使爾居於其所誓賜爾祖亞伯拉罕以撒雅各之地、 | That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. |
