| 2 | 爾曹夙興晏寢、勞苦謀食、俱係徒然、上帝所愛者、偃息之時、錫以綏安兮、 | It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. |
| 3 | 子女爲耶和華所賜、產育爲其賞賚兮、 | Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. |
| 4 | 壯時之子、如武士手中之矢兮、 | As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. |
