| 1 | 春雨之時、當求雨於耶和華、耶和華發雷電、必降雨、賜人田間之蔬、 | Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain; so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. |
| 2 | 家神言虛誕、卜筮見欺誑、妄宣僞夢、徒施慰藉、故民流離如羊、因無牧而困苦、 | For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd. |
| 3 | 我怒熾於牧者、必懲罰牡山羊、蓋萬軍之耶和華垂顧其羣、卽猶大家、必使若臨陳之駿馬、 | Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the Lord of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle. |

| 6 | 我將鞏固猶大室、拯救約瑟家、導之旋歸、加以矜憫、俾如未見棄者、蓋我爲其上帝耶和華、必聽其祈、 | And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the Lord their God, and will hear them. |
| 7 | 以法蓮將如武士、中心欣悅、有若飲酒、其子見之則喜、其心因耶和華而樂、 | And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the Lord. |
| 8 | 我將號召而集之、我已贖之、彼將繁衍、如昔日然、 | I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased. |
| 9 | 我將播之於列邦、彼在遠方、必記憶我、偕其子女得生而還、 | And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again. |
| 10 | 我將引之出埃及、集之出亞述、導之入基列、及利巴嫩、其地不足以居之、 | I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them. |
| 11 | 我將經行苦海、衝擊海濤、尼羅之深處必涸、亞述之驕矜必降、埃及之權柄必亡、 | And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away. |
| 12 | 我將使之恃耶和華而堅強、奉其名而往來、耶和華言之矣、 | And I will strengthen them in the Lord; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the Lord. |
