| 2 | 又擊摩押、使其人伏地、以繩量度、殺戮者二繩之長、生存者一繩有奇、摩押人遂服役於大衞、而納貢焉、 | And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David’s servants, and brought gifts. |
| 3 | 瑣巴王利合子哈大底謝、往河欲恢復其權時、大衞擊之、 | David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates. |
| 4 | 虜其騎兵一千七百、步卒二萬、御車之馬、則斷其筋、惟存百乘之馬、 | And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots. |
| 5 | 大馬色之亞蘭人、來助瑣巴王哈大底謝、大衞擊殺其人二萬二千、 | And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succour Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men. |
| 6 | 大衞置戍於大馬色之亞蘭、亞蘭人遂服役於大衞、而納貢焉、大衞無論何往、耶和華使之獲勝、 | Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went. |

| 10 | 哈大底謝屢與哈馬王陀以戰、陀以聞大衞擊敗哈大底謝全軍、遂遣子約蘭見大衞王問安、爲之祝嘏、約蘭攜金銀銅諸器、 | Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass: |
| 11 | 大衞王區別此物、獻於耶和華、與曩昔所獻降國之金銀同、 | Which also king David did dedicate unto the Lord, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued; |
| 12 | 卽自亞蘭、摩押、亞捫、非利士、亞瑪力諸族、及瑣巴王利合子哈大底謝所獲之物、 | Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah. |
| 13 | 大衞於鹽谷、擊殺亞蘭人一萬八千而歸、得其名譽、 | And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men. |
| 14 | 置戍於以東全國、以東人咸服役於大衞、大衞無論何往、耶和華使之獲勝、○ | And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David’s servants. And the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went. |
| 15 | 大衞爲以色列全族之王、爲其民衆施行公義、 | And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people. |
| 16 | 洗魯雅子約押爲軍長、亞希律子約沙法爲史官、 | And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder; |
| 17 | 亞希突子撒督、與亞比亞他子亞希米勒爲祭司、西萊雅爲繕寫、 | And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe; |
| 18 | 耶何耶大子比拿雅統轄基利提人、比利提人、大衞衆子爲相、 | And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief rulers. |
