| 1 | 昔摩西娶古實女、米利暗亞倫非之、 | And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. |
| 2 | 曰、耶和華豈第語摩西、而不語我儕乎、斯言耶和華聞之、 | And they said, Hath the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it. |
| 3 | 摩西秉性温柔、勝於世之億兆、 | (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) |
| 4 | 耶和華猝諭摩西亞倫米利暗曰、爾曹出至會幕、三人乃出、 | And the Lord spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out. |
| 5 | 耶和華乘雲柱臨於幕門、召亞倫米利暗、二人乃前、 | And the Lord came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. |
| 6 | 耶和華曰、其聽我言、爾中如有先知、我必藉異象而顯見、或夢中諭之、 | And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. |
| 7 | 惟於我僕摩西、則不然、彼盡忠於我家、 | My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. |
| 8 | 故我與之晤言、明以相告、不以隱語、彼亦覩耶和華之容、爾曹非之、曷不懼乎、 | With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? |
| 9 | 耶和華怒之而去、 | And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed. |
| 10 | 雲離會幕、米利暗患癩、色皎如雪、亞倫顧之、見其患癩、 | And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. |
| 11 | 乃謂摩西曰、我儕愚昧、干厥咎戾、請吾主勿加罪、 | And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned. |
| 12 | 勿使彼若已死之人、出母胎體已半朽者、 | Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother’s womb. |
| 13 | 摩西籲耶和華曰、上帝歟、其醫之、 | And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee. |
| 14 | 耶和華曰、若彼父唾於其面、豈不蒙羞七日乎、必禁之營外、歷至七日、然後可導之入、 | And the Lord said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again. |
| 15 | 遂禁米利暗營外、至於七日、民不啟行、待其復入、 | And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again. |
| 16 | 厥後離哈洗錄、在巴蘭野建營、 | And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran. |
