| 1 | 我儕之健者、宜肩不健者之弱、非悅己也、 | We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. |
| 2 | 各宜悅鄰、以致其益、而建立之、 | Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. |
| 3 | 蓋基督亦非悅己、如經云、詈爾者之詈及於我、 | For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. |
| 4 | 昔所載者、皆以訓我而書、俾我因忍、與聖經之慰而得望、 | For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. |
| 5 | 願施忍與慰之上帝、賜爾曹同志、依基督耶穌、 | Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: |
| 6 | 使爾一心一口、以榮上帝、我主耶穌基督之父、 | That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 7 | 是故爾宜相納、猶基督納爾、以爲上帝榮、 | Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. |
| 8 | 蓋我謂基督因上帝之眞誠、曾爲割禮之役、以應所許列祖之言、 | Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: |
| 9 | 亦俾異邦因其矜恤、而榮上帝、經云、緣此、我必於異邦中稱頌爾、謳歌爾名、 | And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. |
| 10 | 又云、爾異邦人、宜與其民同樂、 | And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. |
| 11 | 又云、凡爾異邦宜頌主、萬民亦宜頌主、 | And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. |
| 12 | 又以賽亞云、有耶西之根、將興而君異邦、異邦將望之、 | And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. |
| 13 | 願施望之上帝、因信以樂與安充乎爾曹、俾爾賴聖神之能、獲豐溢之望、○ | Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. |
| 14 | 兄弟乎、我深信爾滿於善、充乎智、亦能相戒、 | And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. |
| 15 | 我毅然致書、使爾記憶、因上帝賜我之恩、 | Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God, |
| 16 | 令我爲基督耶穌之役於異邦、恭事上帝福音、俾所獻之異邦人、由聖神而成聖、見納於上帝、 | That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. |
| 17 | 故論上帝之事、我賴基督耶穌、有可誇者、 | I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God. |
| 18 | 非基督藉我所行之事、我不敢言、 | For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, |
| 19 | 惟以言行及異蹟奇事、與聖神之能、使異邦人順服、遂自耶路撒冷、周行至以利哩古、遍傳基督福音、 | Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. |
| 20 | 我務宣福音、不在已宣基督之處、免建於他人之基、 | Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation: |
| 21 | 如經云、其音未及者將見之、未聞者將悟之、○ | But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand. |
| 22 | 是故我屢見阻、不得就爾、 | For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you. |
| 23 | 今在此境、再無可往、數年來所願者、往士班雅時可就爾、 | But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you; |
| 24 | 蓋望旅中見爾、先於爾曹稍滿我志、蒙爾送行、 | Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company. |
| 25 | 今我往耶路撒冷、供給聖徒、 | But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. |
| 26 | 蓋馬其頓亞該亞人、樂意捐貲、以濟耶路撒冷聖徒之貧乏者、 | For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. |
| 27 | 彼固樂意、亦負其債、因異邦人旣共與其屬靈之物、自當以屬身之物供之、 | It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things. |
| 28 | 迨畢斯事、誌此善果、則將由爾而適士班雅矣、 | When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain. |
| 29 | 我知就爾時、必以基督之厚福而來、○ | And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ. |
| 30 | 兄弟乎、我以我主耶穌基督、亦以聖神之愛、求爾同我竭力、爲我祈於上帝、 | Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; |
| 31 | 使我脫於猶太之違逆者、亦使我供給耶路撒冷之聖徒、爲其所納、 | That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints; |
| 32 | 致循上帝之旨、欣然就爾、偕爾獲安、 | That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed. |
| 33 | 願賜平康之上帝偕爾衆、阿們、 | Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. |
