1	衆擁擠之、聽上帝道、耶穌立於革尼撒勒湖濱、	And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,
2	見二舟泊焉、漁人離舟洗網、	And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
3	一舟屬西門者、耶穌登之、令其離岸少許、坐於舟以訓衆、	And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
4	言竟、語西門曰、移至深處、下網以漁、	Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.
5	西門曰、夫子、我儕終夜勞苦、竟無所得、然以爾言、我則下網、	And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
6	旣而圍魚甚多、網幾裂、	And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
7	招他舟之侶來助、則盈二舟、將沈矣、	And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.
8	西門彼得見之、伏於耶穌膝前曰、主其去我、我罪人也、	When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
9	蓋彼與同人、因獲魚之多、皆駭異也、	For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:
10	西門之侶、西庇太子雅各約翰亦然、耶穌謂西門曰、勿懼、今而後、爾將獲人矣、	And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.
11	衆曳舟上岸、舍所有而從耶穌、○	And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.
12	耶穌在一邑、有通體患癩者見之、伏而求曰、主如允、必能潔我、	And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
13	耶穌伸手捫之、曰、吾允矣、爾其潔哉、癩卽除、	And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
14	耶穌戒之、毋以告人、但往示身於祭司、因爾獲潔、依摩西所命者獻之、以證於衆、	And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
15	然其聲聞益彰、羣衆集聽、且冀其醫疾、	But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
16	耶穌退、適野祈禱、○	And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.
17	一日耶穌訓誨、有法利賽人與律師、自加利利諸鄉、猶太、耶路撒冷而來、坐於其旁、主之能偕耶穌以施醫、	And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
18	或以榻舁癱瘓者、欲舁之入、而置其前、	And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19	因人衆不得入、乃升屋、由瓦間以榻縋之下、置於衆中、當耶穌前、	And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
20	耶穌見其信、曰、人乎、爾罪赦矣、	And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
21	士子與法利賽人議曰、此僭妄者誰歟、上帝而外、孰能赦罪乎、	And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
22	耶穌知其所議、曰、爾心何議耶、	But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
23	言爾罪赦矣、與言起而行、孰易、	Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
24	但令爾知人子在世、有權以赦罪耳、遂謂癱瘓者曰、我語爾起、取牀以歸、	But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
25	其人卽起、於衆前取臥具而返、歸榮上帝、	And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
26	衆皆駭異、亦歸榮上帝、且懼甚、曰、今日見意外之事矣、○	And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
27	厥後耶穌出、見稅吏利未者、坐於稅關、謂之曰、從我、	And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.
28	遂舍所有、起而從之、	And he left all, rose up, and followed him.
29	利未爲之設盛筵於家、有諸稅吏及他人同席、	And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
30	法利賽人與其士子咎門徒曰、爾曹胡爲與稅吏罪人飲食乎、	But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
31	耶穌謂之曰、健者不需醫、惟病者需之、	And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
32	我來、非召義人、乃召罪人改悔耳、	I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
33	衆謂之曰、約翰之徒屢禁食祈禱、法利賽人之徒亦然、惟爾徒式食式飲焉、	And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?
34	耶穌曰、新娶者在、安能使賀者禁食乎、	And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
35	惟日將至、新娶者見接而去、乃禁食耳、	But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
36	遂設喻曰、未有裂新衣以補舊衣者、若然、則新衣旣裂、且新與舊亦不合也、	And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.
37	未有以新酒注舊革囊者、若然、則新酒裂囊、酒漏而囊亦敗、	And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
38	惟新酒必注於新囊焉、	But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
39	未有飲陳酒而新是嗜者、蓋曰、陳者旨耳、	No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
