| 1 | 基督旣釋我儕、而得自由、故宜堅立、勿再負爲僕之軛、 | Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. |
| 2 | 我保羅語爾、若受割、則基督於爾無益、 | Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. |
| 3 | 我復證之、凡受割者、宜行全律、 | For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. |
| 4 | 爾欲由律見義者、乃絕於基督、而隕於恩矣、 | Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. |
| 5 | 蓋我儕以神由信、而待所望之義、 | For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. |
| 6 | 於基督耶穌中、或割或否、皆無益、惟以愛而行之信有益、 | For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. |
| 7 | 昔爾所趨者善矣、誰阻爾不順眞理乎、 | Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? |
| 8 | 其所勸導、非出於召爾者、 | This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. |
| 9 | 少許之酵、發全團矣、 | A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. |
| 10 | 我緣主深信爾無異志、但擾爾者、不論何人、必服其鞫、 | I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. |
| 11 | 兄弟乎、若我尚宣割禮、何至猶見窘逐乎、若然、則十架之窒礙已泯矣、 | And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. |
| 12 | 彼亂爾者、何若自閹爲愈也、○ | I would they were even cut off which trouble you. |
| 13 | 兄弟乎、爾蒙召得自由、然勿以自由爲形軀之機、惟以愛相供役、 | For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. |
| 14 | 蓋全律一言以蔽之、曰愛鄰如己、 | For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. |
| 15 | 若爾相吞噬、恐相淪亡、爾其愼之、○ | But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. |
| 16 | 我故謂爾當依聖神而行、則不縱形軀之慾、 | This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. |
| 17 | 蓋形軀之慾禦乎神、神禦形軀、二者相敵、俾爾不行其所欲行、 | For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. |
| 18 | 爾若爲神所導、則不在律下矣、 | But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. |
| 19 | 夫形軀之行、乃顯然者、卽淫亂、汚穢、邪侈、 | Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, |
| 20 | 拜像、巫術、結仇、爭鬬、忌恨、忿怒、釁隙、朋黨、異端、 | Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, |
| 21 | 媢嫉、沈湎、荒宴等類、今我告爾、如昔所言、凡行此者、必不得承上帝國也、 | Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. |
| 22 | 惟聖神之果、乃仁愛、喜樂、和平、恆忍、慈惠、良善、忠信、 | But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, |
| 23 | 温柔、節制、如此者、無律禁之、 | Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. |
| 24 | 且屬基督耶穌者、已以形軀及其情慾、釘於十架矣、○ | And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. |
| 25 | 我儕若依聖神而生、宜依聖神而行、 | If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. |
| 26 | 勿尚虛榮、相激相嫉、 | Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. |
