1	Die Verteilung des Landes Kanaan / Die Gebiete im Ostjordanland / Die noch nicht eroberten Gebiete Josua war sehr alt geworden. Da sagte der Herr zu ihm: »Du bist nun sehr alt geworden. Aber viele Teile des Landes sind noch nicht erobert.	Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
2	Dazu gehören die Stadtstaaten der Philister und das ganze Land der Geschuriter.	This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,
3	Das Gebiet erstreckt sich vom Ostrand des Nildeltas bis nach Ekron im Norden. Es wird dem Land der Kanaaniter zugerechnet. In ihm herrschen die fünf Philisterfürsten von Gaza, Aschdod, Aschkelon, Gat und Ekron. Dazu kommt das Gebiet der Awiter im Süden,	From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:
4	ferner das ganze übrige Land der Kanaaniter. Es erstreckt sich von Ara, das zu Phönizien gehört, bis Afek, das an das Land der Amoriter grenzt.	From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:
5	Dazu kommt das Stadtgebiet von Byblos und der gesamte östliche Teil des Libanon, von der Stadt Baal-Gad am Fuß des Hermongebirges bis Lebo-Hamat.	And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baal–gad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.
6	Und alle Phönizier, die auf dem Gebirge wohnen, werde ich vor den Israeliten vertreiben, vom Libanon bis Misrefot-Majim. Dann kannst du dieses Land an die Israeliten verteilen, wie ich es geboten habe. Durch das Los erhält jeder seinen Erbbesitz.	All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephoth–maim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.
7	Und jetzt verteile das Land als Erbbesitz unter den neun Stämmen und dem halben Stamm Manasse!	Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
8	Denn die anderen haben ihren Erbbesitz schon erhalten, den Mose ihnen im Ostjordanland gegeben hat: Ruben, Gad und der halbe Stamm Manasse.« Und das ist das Land, das Mose, der Knecht des Herrn, ihnen gegeben hat:	With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of the Lord gave them;
9	Seine Grenze verläuft bei Aroer am Ufer des Arnon und bei der Stadt, die mitten im Tal liegt. Es umfasst die ganze Hochebene von Medeba bis Dibon	From Aroer, that is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;
10	und alle Städte bis zur Grenze der Ammoniter. Früher gehörten sie Sihon, dem König der Amoriter, der in Heschbon regierte.	And all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon;
11	Das Land umfasst außerdem Gilead, das Gebiet der Geschuriter und Maachatiter, das Hermongebirge und die ganze Hochebene Baschan bis hin zu der Landschaft Salcha.	And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;
12	Früher war es das Königreich von Og in Baschan. Der regierte in Aschtarot und Edrei und war ein Nachfahre der Rafaiter. Mose aber hatte die Rafaiter besiegt und vertrieben.	All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.
13	Die Geschuriter aber und die Maachatiter wohnen heute noch unter den Israeliten. Denn diese hatten die Israeliten nicht vertrieben.	Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.
14	Nur der Stamm Levi erhielt kein Land als Erbbesitz. Denn der Dienst am Heiligtum sollte ihr Erbbesitz sein. Den hatte der Herr, der Gott Israels, ihnen zugesagt.	Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the Lord God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as he said unto them.
15	Das Gebiet von Ruben Zuerst bestimmte Mose das Land, das der Stamm Ruben für seine Großfamilien bekam:	And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance according to their families.
16	Seine Grenze verläuft bei Aroer am Ufer des Arnon und bei der Stadt, die mitten im Tal liegt. Es umfasst die ganze Hochebene bis Medeba.	And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba;
17	Dazu gehört Heschbon mit allen Städten der Hochebene: Dibon, Bamot-Baal und Bet-Baal-Meon,	Heshbon, and all her cities that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth–baal, and Beth–baal–meon,
18	Jahaz, Kedemot und Mefaat,	And Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,
19	Kirjatajim, Sibma und Zeret-Schahar. Auf dem Gebirge in Richtung des Jordantals liegen	And Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth–shahar in the mount of the valley,
20	Bet-Pegor, Aschdot-Pisga, Bet-Jeschimot	And Beth–peor, and Ashdoth–pisgah, and Beth–jeshimoth,
21	und alle übrigen Städte der Hochebene. Früher war es das Königreich von Sihon, dem König der Amoriter, der in Heschbon regierte. Mose hatte ihn mit seinen Verbündeten besiegt, mit den Fürsten der Midianiter. Die hießen Ewi, Rekem, Zur, Hur und Reba und wohnten im Land des Königs Sihon.	And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.
22	Außerdem hatten die Israeliten den Wahrsager Bileam, den Sohn des Beor, mit dem Schwert getötet.	Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them.
23	Im Norden verläuft die Grenze der Rubeniter dort, wo der Jordan in das Tote Meer mündet. Dieses Gebiet also ist der Erbbesitz, den die Rubeniter für ihre Großfamilien bekamen – zusammen mit den Städten und ihren Dörfern.	And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and the villages thereof.
24	Das Gebiet von Gad Mose bestimmte das Land, das der Stamm Gad für seine Großfamilien bekam:	And Moses gave inheritance unto the tribe of Gad, even unto the children of Gad according to their families.
25	Sein Gebiet umfasst Jaser mit allen Städten Gileads, dazu das halbe Land der Ammoniter bis Aroer, das gegenüber der Stadt Rabba liegt.	And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah;
26	Es reicht von Heschbon bis Ramat-Mizpe und Betonim, von Mahanajim bis zum Gebiet von Lo-Dabar.	And from Heshbon unto Ramath–mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir;
27	In der Ebene gehören dazu die Städte Bet-Haram, Bet-Nimra, Sukkot und Zafon. Das ist der Rest des Königreichs von Sihon, dem König von Heschbon, und umfasst die Osthälfte des Jordantals bis zum Ende des Sees Kinneret.	And in the valley, Beth–aram, and Beth–nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, Jordan and his border, even unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward.
28	Dieses Gebiet also ist der Erbbesitz, den die Gaditer für ihre Großfamilien bekamen – zusammen mit den Städten und ihren Dörfern.	This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities, and their villages.
29	Das Gebiet von Halb-Manasse Mose bestimmte das Land für den halben Stamm Manasse, das dieser für seine Großfamilien bekam:	And Moses gave inheritance unto the half tribe of Manasseh: and this was the possession of the half tribe of the children of Manasseh by their families.
30	Seine Grenze im Süden verläuft bei Mahanajim. Es umfasst die ganze Hochebene Baschan, das Königreich von Og, dem König von Baschan, ferner die Zeltdörfer des Jair auf dem Baschan, insgesamt 60 Ortschaften.	And their coast was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities:
31	Dazu kommt die halbe Landschaft Gilead mit den Königsstädten Aschtarot und Edrei, die dem König Og von Baschan gehörten. Diesen Teil erhielten die Nachkommen des Machir, des Sohnes von Manasse, für ihre Großfamilien.	And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were pertaining unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir by their families.
32	Das waren die Gebiete, die Mose im Ostjordanland als Erbbesitz vergeben hat – in den Landschaften Moabs östlich von Jericho.	These are the countries which Moses did distribute for inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.
33	Nur dem Stamm Levi gab Mose kein Land als Erbbesitz. Denn der Dienst am Heiligtum sollte ihr Erbbesitz sein. Den hatte der Herr, der Gott Israels, ihnen zugesagt.	But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any inheritance: the Lord God of Israel was their inheritance, as he said unto them.
