1	Gottes Güte in Kriegszeiten EIN LIED, EIN PSALM, VON DAVID.	O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
2	Mein Vertrauen steht fest, Gott. Darum will ich singen und musizieren für dich, du herrlicher Glanz:	Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
3	Wach auf, du Harfe und Leier, ich will das Morgenrot wecken.	I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
4	Dir will ich danken unter den Völkern, Herr, und für dich musizieren vor den Nationen.	For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
5	Denn deine Güte reicht über den Himmel hinaus und deine Treue bis zu den Wolken.	Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
6	Erhebe dich, Gott, über den Himmel und über die ganze Erde in deiner Herrlichkeit.	That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
7	So werden deine Freunde gerettet. Hilf mir mit deiner starken Hand und antworte mir!	God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
8	In seinem Heiligtum hat Gott gesagt: »Ich werde jubeln über meinen Sieg! Das Land von Sichem werde ich verteilen und das Tal von Sukkot ausmessen.	Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
9	Mir gehört Gilead und mir gehört Manasse. Efraim ist mein Helm, Juda mein Herrscherstab.	Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
10	Moab soll mir als Waschbecken dienen. Auf Edom will ich meinen Schuh werfen. Über die Philister werde ich triumphieren.«	Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
11	Wer kann mich in die befestigte Stadt bringen? Wer wird mich sicher bis nach Edom führen?	Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
12	Ach Gott, hast du uns wirklich verstoßen? Ziehst du nicht mehr mit uns in den Krieg, Gott?	Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
13	Steh uns bei und rette uns vor dem Feind! Hilfe von Menschen kann da nichts ausrichten.	Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
14	Doch mit Gott werden wir siegreich sein. Er selbst wird unsere Feinde zertreten.	—
