1	Die Pflichten der Familie von Kehat Der Herr sagte zu Mose und Aaron:	And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2	»Zählt die Nachkommen von Kehat unter den Leviten und ordnet sie nach ihren Familien und Großfamilien!	Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers,
3	Alle Männer zwischen 30 und 50 Jahren sind zum Dienst verpflichtet. Sie arbeiten im Zelt der Begegnung:	From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
4	Die Nachkommen von Kehat sollen ihren Dienst leisten, am Allerheiligsten im Zelt der Begegnung.	This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things:
5	Wenn das Lager abgebrochen wird, sollen Aaron und seine Söhne in das Zelt hineingehen. Sie sollen den Vorhang abnehmen, der vor dem Allerheiligsten ist. Sie sollen damit die Lade bedecken, die die Tafeln mit den Geboten enthält.	And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it:
6	Sie sollen alles mit einer festen Lederhülle umgeben und mit einem violetten Tuch vollständig bedecken. Dann sollen sie die Tragestangen der Lade anbringen.	And shall put thereon the covering of badgers’ skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof.
7	Auch über den Tisch für die Schaubrote sollen sie ein violettes Tuch legen und die Schalen, Schüsseln, Opferschalen sowie die Krüge für das Trankopfer daraufstellen. Die Schaubrote sollen ganz oben liegen.	And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon:
8	Darüber sollen sie eine karmesinrote Decke legen und alles mit einer festen Lederhülle umgeben. Dann sollen sie Tragestangen daran anbringen.	And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put in the staves thereof.
9	Sie sollen ein violettes Tuch nehmen und den Leuchter mitsamt den Lampen damit bedecken. Die Dochtscheren, Aschepfannen und Ölgefäße, die man für den Dienst daran braucht, sollen auch abgedeckt sein.	And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:
10	Sie sollen alles zusammen in eine Hülle aus festem Leder geben und auf ein Tragegestell legen.	And they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put it upon a bar.
11	Auf den goldenen Altar kommt ein violettes Tuch. Sie sollen ihn mit einer festen Lederhülle schützen und Tragestangen anbringen.	And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put to the staves thereof:
12	Alle Geräte, die sie am Heiligtum brauchen, sollen sie in ein purpurrotes Tuch hüllen. Sie sollen sie mit einer festen Lederhülle umgeben und auf ein Tragegestell legen.	And they shall take all the instruments of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers’ skins, and shall put them on a bar:
13	Danach wird der Brandopferaltar von Asche gereinigt und mit einem purpurroten Tuch bedeckt.	And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:
14	Die Kehatiter sollen alle Geräte darauflegen, die sie zum Dienst an diesem Altar brauchen: die Räucherpfannen, Gabeln, Schaufeln und Schalen. Sie sollen alles in eine Hülle aus festem Leder geben und die Tragestangen des Altars anbringen.	And they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, even the censers, the fleshhooks, and the shovels, and the basons, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers’ skins, and put to the staves of it.
15	Wenn Aaron und seine Söhne fertig sind, dann erst dürfen die Nachkommen von Kehat kommen. Wenn das Heiligtum und seine Geräte verhüllt sind, dürfen die Kehatiter sie tragen. Das ist ihre Aufgabe am Zelt der Begegnung, wenn das Lager abgebrochen wird. Die unverhüllten heiligen Dinge dürfen sie aber nicht berühren, sonst müssen sie sterben.	And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
16	Eleasar, der Sohn des Priesters Aaron, beaufsichtigt die Zeltwohnung und alles, was dazugehört: alle heiligen Dinge, alle zugehörigen Geräte, das Öl für das Licht, den duftenden Weihrauch, das Salböl und das regelmäßige Opfer.«	And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.
17	Weiter sagte der Herr zu Mose und Aaron:	And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
18	»Sorgt dafür, dass Kehats Familie nicht aus ihrem Stamm Levi und aus Israel verschwindet!	Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:
19	Dazu müsst ihr Folgendes tun: Aaron und seine Söhne müssen für jeden Einzelnen bestimmen, was er zu tun hat. Denn sonst überleben die Kehatiter nicht und sterben, wenn sie sich dem Heiligtum nähern.	But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:
20	Die Kehatiter dürfen nicht ins Allerheiligste gehen und auch nur kurz die heiligen Dinge sehen. Sonst müssen sie sterben.«	But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.
21	Die Pflichten der Familie von Gerschon Der Herr sagte zu Mose:	And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
22	»Zähle auch die Nachkommen von Gerschon und ordne sie nach ihren Familien und Großfamilien!	Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, throughout the houses of their fathers, by their families;
23	Erfasse alle Männer zwischen 30 und 50 Jahren. Sie sind dazu verpflichtet, am Zelt der Begegnung Dienst zu leisten.	From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
24	Die Familie der Gerschoniter hat die Aufgabe, das Heiligtum zu tragen:	This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, to serve, and for burdens:
25	Sie tragen die Decken der Zeltwohnung und das Zelt der Begegnung selbst, die Zeltdecke und die feste Lederhülle um alles herum, den Vorhang vom Eingang zum Zelt der Begegnung,	And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers’ skins that is above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,
26	die Vorhänge des Hofs um Wohnung und Altar und den Vorhang vom Hoftor, die Seile und alle Geräte, die man zur Arbeit daran braucht. Sie haben alles zu erledigen, was damit zusammenhängt.	And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve.
27	Jede Arbeit der Nachkommen von Gerschon steht unter dem Befehl von Aaron und seinen Söhnen. Das gilt für alle Aufgaben, besonders wenn das Heiligtum getragen wird. Weist ihnen genau zu, was sie zu tragen haben.	At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.
28	Das ist die Pflicht der Gerschoniter und ihrer Nachkommen am Zelt der Begegnung. Itamar, der Sohn des Priesters Aaron, hat den Befehl über die Arbeiten ihrer Familien.«	This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
29	Die Pflichten der Familie von Merari Weiter sagte Gott: »Für die Merariter gilt Folgendes: Zähle die Nachkommen von Merari und ordne sie nach ihren Familien und Großfamilien!	As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the house of their fathers;
30	Erfasse alle Männer zwischen 30 und 50 Jahren. Sie sind zum Dienst am Zelt der Begegnung verpflichtet.	From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.
31	Und so sollen sie ihre Pflicht erfüllen, wenn sie am Zelt der Begegnung ihren Dienst tun: Sie sollen die Bestandteile der Zeltwohnung tragen, ihre Bretter, Latten und Pfosten sowie deren Sockel,	And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and sockets thereof,
32	die Pfosten des umgebenden Vorhofs und deren Sockel, die Pflöcke und Seile und alle Geräte, die man zum Arbeiten daran braucht. Weist ihnen namentlich zu, was sie tragen müssen.	And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name ye shall reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden.
33	Das sind die Pflichten der Nachkommen von Merari am Zelt der Begegnung. Itamar, der Sohn des Priesters Aaron, führt die Aufsicht über die Arbeiten ihrer Familien.«	This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
34	Die Zählung der Leviten zwischen 30 und 50 Jahren Mose, Aaron und die Oberhäupter der Gemeinde zählten die Nachkommen der Kehatiter. Sie ordneten sie nach ihren Familien und Großfamilien.	And Moses and Aaron and the chief of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
35	Alle Männer zwischen 30 und 50 Jahren wurden zum Dienst am Zelt der Begegnung verpflichtet.	From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation:
36	Bei den Familien der Kehatiter wurden 2750 Männer gezählt.	And those that were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37	Das sind die Familien der Kehatiter, die am Zelt der Begegnung zum Dienst verpflichtet waren. Mose und Aaron hatten sie gezählt, wie es der Herr durch Mose befohlen hatte.	These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
38	Das sind die Nachkommen von Gerschon, geordnet nach ihren Familien und Großfamilien.	And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, throughout their families, and by the house of their fathers,
39	Alle Männer zwischen 30 und 50 Jahren wurden zum Dienst am Zelt der Begegnung verpflichtet.	From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,
40	Bei den Familien und Großfamilien der Gerschoniter wurden 2630 Männer gezählt.	Even those that were numbered of them, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.
41	Das sind die Nachkommen der Familie von Gerschon. Sie waren zum Dienst verpflichtet am Zelt der Begegnung. Mose und Aaron hatten sie auf Befehl des Herrn gezählt.	These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the Lord.
42	Das sind die Nachkommen der Familie von Merari, geordnet nach ihren Familien und Großfamilien.	And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, throughout their families, by the house of their fathers,
43	Alle Männer zwischen 30 und 50 Jahren wurden zum Dienst am Zelt der Begegnung verpflichtet.	From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the service, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation,
44	Bei den Familien der Merariter wurden 3200 Männer gezählt.	Even those that were numbered of them after their families, were three thousand and two hundred.
45	Das sind die Nachkommen der Familie von Merari. Mose und Aaron hatten sie gezählt, wie es der Herr durch Mose befohlen hatte.	These be those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
46	Mose, Aaron und die Oberhäupter der Israeliten hatten die Leviten nach Familien und Großfamilien geordnet.	All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the chief of Israel numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
47	Sie hatten alle Männer erfasst, die zwischen 30 und 50 Jahre alt waren. Die Männer wurden zum Dienst verpflichtet und mussten am Zelt der Begegnung arbeiten. Oder sie hatten seine Bestandteile zu tragen.	From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation,
48	Insgesamt waren es 8580 Männer.	Even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and fourscore.
49	Auf Befehl des Herrn wiesen Mose und Aaron jedem Einzelnen seine Aufgabe zu. So erhielten sie unter Aufsicht des Mose ihren Auftrag, wie der Herr es Mose befohlen hatte.	According to the commandment of the Lord they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the Lord commanded Moses.
