| 1 | Lord, you were good to your land: changing the fate of Jacob. | Lord, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob. |
| 2 | The wrongdoing of your people had forgiveness; all their sin had been covered. (Selah.) | Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah. |
| 3 | You were no longer angry: you were turned from the heat of your wrath. | Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger. |
| 4 | Come back to us, O God of our salvation, and be angry with us no longer. | Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease. |
| 5 | Will you go on being angry with us for ever? will you keep your wrath against us through all the long generations? | Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? |
| 6 | Will you not give us life again, so that your people may be glad in you? | Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? |
| 7 | Let us see your mercy, O Lord, and give us your salvation. | Shew us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation. |
| 8 | I will give ear to the voice of the Lord; for he will say words of peace to his people and to his saints; but let them not go back to their foolish ways. | I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. |
| 9 | Truly, his salvation is near to his worshippers; so that glory may be in our land. | Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. |
| 10 | Mercy and faith have come together; righteousness and peace have given one another a kiss. | Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. |
| 11 | Faith comes up from the earth like a plant; righteousness is looking down from heaven. | Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. |
| 12 | The Lord will give what is good; and our land will give its increase. | Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. |
| 13 | Righteousness will go before him, making a way for his footsteps. | Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps. |
