| 2 | Assim diz o Senhor, Deus d'Israel, ácerca de ti, ó Baruch: | Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch; |
| 3 | Disseste: Ai de mim agora! porque me accrescentou o Senhor tristeza sobre minha dôr: já estou cançado do meu gemido, e não acho descanço. | Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the Lord hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest. |
| 4 | Pelo que assim lhe dirás: Assim diz o Senhor: Eis que o que edifiquei eu derribo, e o que plantei eu arranco, e isso em toda esta terra. | Thus shalt thou say unto him, The Lord saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land. |
